I’m laughing as I type this because I know I’m ridiculous. I say this about 5 times a week, “When I’m designing other people’s homes I can do it in a orderly fashion, but when I’m designing ours I’m all over the place & making 5 returns a month & changing my mind hourly.” It’s the truth! This is the second chandelier I’ve hung in this room of ours in a few months, but I really think this might be the one now. Ok, so I wanted to share the chandelier with you today that I THINK will be “the chandelier” in our master bedroom. It’s the one I had originally planned on having in this space & it mimics the ones we have in our dining room downstairs that we got from Lowes. Well, we finally got it hung in the bedroom this weekend & I do love it, but sometimes it’s hard to get the complete vision for the space when nothing else in the space is finished….
This chandelier we hung above our bed is from Pottery Barn [HERE] unlike the ones from Lowes in our dining room that look similar, this one came in a larger size & the color that we wanted. You can see how we painted the chandeliers from lowes in our dining room [HERE]. Also, I got it on major sale… it’s actually on some kind of sale today which is pretty cool. I happen to get mine on the holiday weekend so good timing on that one. I love how this light looks like it could have been hanging here in the farmhouse in the 1800’s when our home was built. I also like how it is a focal point in the space. Anyways the room is just in the beginning stages so we are far from done so I can’t really tell if this is THE ONE yet, but I know if it doesn’t work here there are a thousand other places in our farmhouse that it will work & where we need lights still. We did need a light in our master bedroom so that’s why I was rushing to hang this one up this week.
I love this chandelier & I’m actually super happy with it. The quality is great, but I would say my only complaint is that the crystal chandeliers we got from lowes came already assembled, where this one you had to hang all the crystals on it yourself. Jose was a champ and did it in less than 30 minutes while watching TV because he’s awesome like that, but it would have been super convenient for it to come put together. Anyways, there is the update on the master bedroom chandelier… for now. What do you think of it? I’m ready to add a little color into this bedroom, but that might wait for when we rip out the carpet & possibly rip the ceiling out too… oh boy, it never ends. Oh, & the door headboard? More on that later too! Thank you guys for stopping by the blog today & for always letting me share our journey with you. Be sure to find me on Facebook & Instagram for more behind the scenes & inspiration. xx

Gorgeousssss ? I’m obsessed.
I need you to come to southern Ohio to design & decorate our home that’s in the making. ??????
Question, your coverlet/comforter/quilt, where is it from? I LOVE IT.
Love your style and seriously enjoy following you & your story. ??
As always…GORG! Love everything you do. I’d have a hard time leaving that bedroom. 😉
I needed this more than you can imagine! And I live in North Carolina, land of wonderful ever-changing weather, and where one may always have at least a day each month where the temperature will be 70 degrees F , even after or before ice-storms. THAT is one reason it’s so great here! We are moving back into our farmhouse after 25 years of off-on living in it, renting it, buying a part-time beach house which became our full-time residence the last few years- now on the market, so excited so I can work on our Farm House! It’s important to follow others like you, in helping inspire during such times. I also, share a love of chandeliers. I almost bought one of Pottery Barn’s during that very same sale! I waited since we were discussing re-furbishing our other home, where we need a lot of work done! LOVE your style, and want a platform bed for our under-sized master bedroom. Our Arnold Palmer line of designer furniture will be on sale I discovered a smaller but true turn of the century chandelier (on Etsy; the dealer had several, but I got one w/ a large crystal ball hanging at the bottom! I had never thought of it in our bedroom, but I am loving the idea! Thanks, look forward to staying in touch. p. s. my own website is in a state of re-creating it, will post it soon.
I am totally loving your look; I am, too, in N. C., presently moving full-time w/ family into our farmhouse of 25 years, near Chapel Hill, N. C. We will still be near you, lol, as we keep our sailboat a few miles from our other home at Wrightsville Beach. It is on the market, so I am planning, designing, and in need of inspiration & even may break down and find a decorator to begin the total approach. I would like to take a wall or 2 out! Seriously.
Thanks for sharing, love love the chandelier idea. I found a vintage beauty on Etsy, a wonderful person selling a number of them from turn of the century; I was able to buy the one w/ a real crystal ball that hangs from the center. It is my prize and am considering now finding one for our bedroom, or moving this one! I look forward to talking. I am re-creating blog site, as on WordPress and can shape it into more about my current studying/teaching yoga & meditation; other one is a creative writing site, and is not exactly what I want. I LOVE your’s! Tell me more! Also love the platform bed….we need one for sure. Take care!
oops sorry it went through the first time though initially it said it would not! SO sorry, my mind is def. overwhelmed!
I love the old doors as a headboard – but what happened to your Magnolia Homes 4-poster bed? Did you not like it for some reason?
