The pumpkins above & some more….
I have been getting a TON of questions this week after I started putting faux pumpkins out this week about where I get them from. The truth is I’ve been collecting faux pumpkins for as long as I can remember. My secret? Every year I find some places that have some pretty faux pumpkins and a buy a few here & there on sale & over time my collection has grown. We all know faux pumpkins can be pricey, but again buying them on sale helps & some of these I gathered today are either already on sale or just normally a great price. I hope this helps some of you who were asking me & I hope it inspires you when you start decorating for fall. My favorite that I found? [THESE] watercolor faux pumpkins I found from Pier 1. Who knew they had cute pumpkins? I would love to see them in person & possibly see them in my house. Michaels is also a great place to find faux pumpkins & it’s where I have found most of mine. Where is you favorite place to find faux pumpkins? Another quick tip: You can find faux pumpkins at the dollar store or any craft store & paint them for an updated farmhouse & cottage vibe. Let me know which pumpkin from above is your favorite in the comments below, find me on Facebook, & chat with me on Instagram. xx
OR…….. you can buy real pumpkins at the market, or farmer’s market and then eat the pumpkin at Thanksgiving in pies, or fix it like you would squash, for a delicious dish at your Thanksgiving feast.
Saves on storage space, and there are some lovely small pie pumpkins out there that are darling!
Sarah, from She Holds Dearly, has a tutorial on how to make faux pumpkins. That is another option worth exploring. Hers are color coordinated to her decor.
Of course I always buy real blue, green and white pumpkins each season, those Pier One faux versions are a nice staple! Thank God for Fall! ? ? ?
Thanks for sharing. I love faux for early fall decorating. I stocked up on some good ones last year. I can’t wait to pull them out.
