Another weekend gone again! And I know some of you might be mad at me for this because summer is already too short, but I actually started putting a little bit of of fall decor out. Before you go & get angry about that or feel like I’m rushing the seasons, hear me out. I always start decorating a little early for the seasons in hope that I share before you start decorating & that I can inspire you in some small way. That’s it. Oh, & the fact that fall is my favorite season so why not drag it out a little longer. Other than that the weekend was filled lots of laughs, relaxation, sleep, & of course a few projects around the farm that I wanted to share with you guys today. I love coming on here on Mondays & updating you guys, thanks for checking in daily with us to see what we are up to…
First we were finally able to figure out our lighting on our porch from Barn Light Electric. I will explain later when we get them all up, but we were struggling with the height, size, & placement. We finally figured it out & got one up on the porch & the rest will be up later [there are quite a few around the porch]. Me & the kitty were out enjoying them this evening & we wanted to share the new light with you as well.
We finally have a bathroom door on the downstairs entryway bathroom! For a while we didn’t have a working sink in there & then when that finally was in we still didn’t have a door. Until now! We got the bathroom door hung, but now it needs a lot of work. We plan on painting the door, adding glass, and also doing a little something with the door hardware. I’m just excited that we have a door. Oh, & I’ve started painting these hallways floors as well! More on that later.
We took Grace in for the first time in forever this weekend & it was wonderful. Jose and I are SO DUMB & we were using doggie diapers on her so we were having some issues with that tail hole in the diapers if you know what I mean… we NEVER thought of using actual baby diapers. Why did we never think of that? So, there we were in the baby aisle this weekend buying baby diapers for our sheep. It was kind of sad and pathetic for people who have struggled with six years of infertility, but ended with tons of laughs and joy watching Grace galavanting around the house in elmo diapers.
Oh, and tons of fall went down in the house this weekend. I can’t wait to share all the fall decor ideas with you guys from DIY’s to decor. I hope that it gets you excited to decorate for all as well… oh and for pumpkin spice everything, sweaters, boots, & all those autumn joys. & just maybe it will help you cool down from that August heat.
Some other things I did this weekend that I didn’t photography: painted the entryway hallway, worked a little more on the office, & of course did some sweaty farm work outside with the sheep & cleaning up the yard a little bit more. There is some huge changes coming to the farm this week that may have something to do with getting rid of a lot of trees… can’t wait to share that with you guys! Anyways, I hope you guys had a great weekend & as always, THANK YOU so much for stopping by my little blog. Be sure to find me on Facebook & Instagram for more behind the scenes.
okay, you totally piqued my interest with the tree removal nugget… ?
have a great week!
That is hilarious about the diapers. I think she should get Frozen diapers next if they have them. I can’t wait to see your fall decor. I love decorating for fall and I’ve used more neutrals in the last few years instead of tons of orange. I can’t wait to see.
Girrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrllllllllllllllllllll.. I cannot believe you got that door hung so fast… on ig you were like, ” its super heavy.. it will be hard to hang… ” and here it its… LOVE IT
Love your light on the porch and your Fall decor, I am a Fall lover too. Grace needs some girlie diapers,do they have some with lace, sorry, i’m a grandmother and don’t have to buy.
Elmo diapers! Oh my golly. Would love to see that someday.
Hello Liz, I love following your Instagram and your blog! I am 37 and I have never had a child of my own, my reason totally different than yours, I honestly think that God puts other creatures in our life for a reason at certain times! I have a Shih Tzu, Sissy, who is my baby, I thank God for her everyday because I can love her and baby her. I have a stoller, purse, and sling that I have used to take her places with me, because she has to go everywhere with me! I don’t think buying diapers for Grace is pathetic at all and I think it’s good for our soul to feel a little bit of a connection to those items. I am praying for you and God’s plan for your family, you are so beautiful and I just love everything about you, I know he has something amazing in store for you! Anyway, just wanted to say hi and I am a fan!
Love and God Bless
Elizabeth
