Last week I shared with you guys our cottage greenhouse fall mantel [HERE] & I was really feeling that mossy natural vibe that it had. I decided to play around with the moss & some pumpkins on our dining room table as well while I was at it & this pumpkin centerpiece accidentally happened…

Creativity in Trials

The thing I love about what I do? Being creative & trying new things. I also love that we rarely use this dining room so it gives me a chance to go a little extra with the decor. We have a few other places in the house that we usually eat just the two of us & only use this space when we have people over. I realize that not everyone has a “formal” dining room or a space like this that they rarely use, but with it just being Jose & I after 10 years of marriage… this is what I have haha.

Anyways, for this centerpiece it was actually quite simple despite the amount of pumpkins I used. I started with laying two metal baskets (from Marshalls) facing each other. Fill the baskets with faux craft moss from Michaels & fluffed it up to make it look more natural. Then, I took pumpkins I had lying around & started them placing them around the baskets. With a little more playing around, it was a simple pumpkin basket centerpiece that would also be a great on a sofa table, buffet, coffee table, & so much more. Looking for some faux pumpkin options? You could use your creative vision and make different versions of this centerpiece so easily… different baskets, different pumpkins, different arrangement, the list goes on.
