With all of the home renovations going on right now I’ve only fall-ed up a few areas of our home like our front living room & our dining room. I wish I could go all out in every single room, but with all the dust & construction around here, that’s just not possible. In some areas of our house, like our back family room, I added little subtle touches of fall that I wanted to share with you guys today…
I picked up these neutral cloth pumpkins at our Found Cottage Mercantile Market a few weeks ago & decided to use them all over the living room.. nothing like some simple pumpkins to bring fall into the room. The wreath and the chippy white architectural pieces were also market finds & I love how they cozy up the whole space even when it’s an unfinished area.
Jose made these white architectural pieces out of an old post & I was thinking of using them as candle holders, but I think putting a pumpkin on top of each one works as well. Cloth pumpkins just look good anywhere you stick them. Have an ugly table? Stick a cloth pumpkin on it. Have an plain piano? Stick a cloth pumpkin on it. It works every single time. I also incorporated ornamental kale into this room to give the space some life. I’m always a fan of ornamental kale in fall decor.
The room is simple, it’s cozy, & now it has the perfect subtle fall touches. This winter we will be re-doing this entire room so it’s fun playing with the decor dreaming about what this room will look like when we get to put our touches on it. For now I’m enjoying this back family room of ours as is & even more now with the little fall touches. I hope you guys liked seeing our fall family room. Below I posted some of my blogging friends & their fall family rooms I hope you take the chance to visit them & get inspired!
