Y’all, I almost forgot something important! I was sitting inside today with the BHG team and they started talking about photographing our fall porch decor and it hit me, I had never shared the side porch steps with you guys for fall. How could I forget?! It’s kind of a tradition now. We did our usual mums in the crocks, but this time we use an extra special pumpkins that we grew ourselves…
Random Pumpkin Story
You see, we sort of accidentally grow pumpkins this year. And we actually got quite the crop for not even trying. Long story short we planted some pumpkin seeds and there was a mixup with the landscaping company and they ended up working on the area that we had planted the pumpkin seeds so we figured that they weren’t going to grow this year. A few weeks later pumpkin plants started to grow and they really took off. It really goes to show how hardy plants are. We feel so blessed and lucky to be growing things like this on our farm… a dream come true for sure!!
Pumpkins, Mums, & Crocks
So the other night my neighbor boy and I went through and picked all of the pumpkins, and this isn’t even half of them. We loaded up the trailer and haul them up to the sidesteps and I think it mean our porch for quite lovely and of course ready for fall. Thankful for our farm, thankful for fall, thankful for color, and thankful for the best neighbor boy ever who isn’t too cool to help me pick pumpkins & rescues me when I see a spider. God is good!! I hope you guys liked this little glimpse at our fall porch steps. I just love mums in these crocks each year & can’t get enough of it. Thank you guys so so so much for stopping by the blog today.. it means a lot! Be sure to follow me on Facebook & Instagram for more behind the scenes. xx
