It’s funny how every year we change. In one way or another we change. I feel like I’m in a season of my life where all I’m doing is changing. I’m about to turn 30, I’m balancing living in a fixer upper & owning a shop, I’m learning new things daily, falling in love with new things, & you know what even finding a new sense of style. Funny how these things become obvious through the simplest of things, like decor. I was coming on here to share with your our Christmas front entryway today & I thought back to last years Christmas entryway & oh man they are so different! But that’s the thing I view change as good all around. Where we started from was wonderful & where we are now is wonderful. The journey as well was wonderful. We learned, we grew, we changed. I could apply this to so many things in my life right now & some that I will be changing with you very soon, but for now let’s just see how the entryway has changed since last year…
A peak at the Christmas entryway this year…
& a look at it last year…
You can see more the bright red space from last year [HERE]. But now the space is looking a little more neutral & actually we even took down that gallery wall that used to hang here recently & replaced it with a large vintage corbel shelf we made with some random large mirrors that we have had lying around on the shelf. I thought would reflect the Christmas lights & Christmas greens very well. Two of the mirrors were vintage finds & one I found at Marshalls a few years ago and had painted. I was craving simplicity and I think I achieved it in this space even with all of the Christmas elements I added from the greens to the mini bottle brush trees on the shelves…
If you missed it a few weeks ago I shared this amazing lumbar pillow from Anthropologie that I have been obsessing over & that really inspired this simple entryway look. Paired with the two vintage inspired pillows from Joss & Main & that cozy blanket from West Elm.. it makes the perfect cozy bench as soon as you walk in the house. On the middle mirror I hung a wreath from the Hearth & Hand from Target & also on the shelf there is some garland from the same line. That felt ball garland? It’s from one of our vendors at The Found Cottage, Piper Loves Nella. The string lights are a kirklands find & I love that they work on batteries so you can put them anywhere even when a blog isn’t in range. The side table is also from Joss & Main & that rug is from World Market.
This lovely tote bag [HERE] here was a gift from Mrs Abby Chic [HERE]. She surprised me with it last week in the mail & I haven’t stopped using it since. In fact.. funny story I bring it to the shop with me & I can’t tell you how many people ask if it’s for sale because they want it so bad. Nope.. It’s mine! haha If you didn’t know, I have a PO box [address in the sidebar of my blog] where it’s a fun way to connect with people… Honestly its more like you guys sending me the most sentimental letters that make me cry in my room reading them on my bed. A good cry. But it’s been amazing to connect with others with similar stories & also a great way for me to find shops like Mrs Abby Chic. Thank you to all who have sent me a letter or a package.. during all my seasons of change they have brightened my days & I’m so grateful.
Of course I mixed all of these goods with some vintage finds from the old church pew, those vintage corbels, that antique stool, and those old locker baskets. I’m changing the other side of this room at the moment & it’s not worth sharing now… but I thought you guys would hopefully be inspired by our entryway decked out for the holidays. That’s another thing that has changed in me… things that inspire me. Always changing with each season of life from my heart to my decor & hopefully all for the better for that saws of my life. Thank you guys so much for stopping by my blog today & for being with me through all the changes from our fixer upper, to our fertility, to our location, to our lifestyle, to our decor… it all means so much to have you here with me! xx

Lovely shelf, pillow, bench, basket table, mirrors. The larger proportioned things really keep the area from looking cluttered, though there are many of them.
Subtract those wire baskets under the bench and it will be perfect.
Your blog and instagram inspire me Every. Single. Day. ❤️❤️
Absolutely Stunning! So elegant! ANd my favourite colors!
Hi there. I just love your mix of old, and neutrals! Wondering if you would share what type of wood flooring you have in your entrance? Thanks
I did like a little red in it.
Minus the red very nice Liz.
