This feels so weird to be sharing this space with you guys today for a few reasons… one because our sunroom is far from being finished & two because last year this space looked so different & it was one of the only spaces we decorated for the holidays before we demo-ed it in the spring. Though it’s far from finished anything with some Christmas decor on it looks good… am I right? Today I partnered with some of my blog friends & HomeGoods to style our family room spaces and share them with you guys….
I would consider our family room to be our sunroom. It’s where we gather the most & once our kitchen that is attached is finished I don’t think we will ever leave this space. Even though this space is unfinished after we just got all the new windows in, we placed some furniture in here for now so we could at least use it. Since it it unfinished I wanted to keep it simple for the holidays… well, my kind of simple that is.
I purchased some metallic glass Christmas trees that I also used in our dining room [HERE]. I love how these metallic trees add a new texture to the space & pair nicely with winter greens. These trees are a classic accent & would fit in with so many different styles. I purchased some ribbon from Homegoods to use around the room as well to add an extra texture. One place I used the ribbon is around the wreath hanging behind the sofa. The thing that I will always love Homegoods for is their pillows… they have the best & every time I go I find some that I love. Which is a problem. For this look I purchased some large cozy neutral pillows for the sofa & a few gorgeous tufted floor pillows. I also got a gorgeous large floor poof that I love styled by the christmas tree. The floor poof has some metalics in it which really plays off of the mercury glass & metallics of the trees. On the coffee table under the glass christmas trees I placed a linen to soften up the antique trunk. Honestly pillows and linens are both a must to get from Homegoods & I highly recommend going there for all of those basic needs among everything else. Ok, I’m obsessed with Homegoods.. no new news here.
5 Things you can get from Homegoods to recreate this look:
- Large basket for the tree
- Ribbon for the tree
- Cozy pillows, floor pillows, & poufs
- Rustic natural looking wreaths
- Metallic Christmas accents
- Linens
- Who am I kidding… you can find everything for the home at Homegoods… who is with me?!
Ok, decorating this space for Christmas has truly made me so excited to finish this space someday soon. I absolutely love how this space turned out for the holiday season & how it is so much cozy with the new decor. I wish we could keep Christmas decor up all year!
