Bedroom Curtains
I’m approaching 30.. old to some, young to some, & I think the perfect age in my eyes. I love my twenties & I’m not going to lie only having 6 more months until I’m in my thirties is scary because I just don’t feel prepared. But I think thirty is that time where you are still figuring things out, but you are a little wiser from everything you’ve gone through in your twenties. There are big lessons we have learned & there are little lessons like a good skincare routine & picking out the right bed sheets & bedroom curtains for your home.
We have lived without I recently found this company called Martha & Ash. I found them through Instagram [I forget who’s photo it was so sorry, but it was so pretty that I did some investigating. Thank you for sharing!] & my mind was opened to a new place to get curtains from & since we were working on our bedroom remodel I thought that was a great place to try them out & oh my goodness you guys…
My Pick
We got the Solid Panels from Martha & Ash with these details [Length — 96″, Width — Single (22″)
Color — BONE, Header — Euro Pleat, Lining — Blackout]. We have four windows in our bedroom & up until now since we have moved in we have been curtain-less & honestly guys I think it’s been messing with my sleep patterns. I am so thankful that we got the blackout lining because ever since hanging them up in our room I feel like I’ve been sleeping deeper and more on schedule. These curtains are so heavy duty & such great quality.. way better than I have ever owned before.
Feeling Old
Honestly hanging bedroom curtains made me feel so old and wise like “Look at this, I’m such a grown up because I have quality bedroom curtains.” If that makes any sense. I love the bone color and that they are not stark white either because I was going back and forth, but these are warmer & I like that. The one con I would have to say, & it’s resolved now, was that when we first opened the box with the curtains there was a very heavy bleach smell [at least it smelled like bleach to me] but after a little while of having them out of the box that scent faded & they no longer smell at least that I can tell.
The Review
Also note that it wasn’t a terrible smell, but unexpected. Ok, to the pros: I love how they frame our bed in perfect, I love how they are formal yet relaxed, & again, I love the color & the black out feature. I actually don’t mind the pooling at all, but I accidentally ordered 96″ instead of the 84. I think it adds to that cozy cottage vibe in our space. Also, soon this carpet in our room will be gone [& possibly the ceilings] so longer curtains will be needed then anyways. Overall I’m obsessed with the curtains & every time I walk in our bedroom I fall more in love with them.. I’m thankful I stumbled across these on Instagram one day. Bless Instagram!
I’ll be back soon with more photos of the bedroom curtains, but I wanted to introduce you guys to them now & not be selfish with keeping this new [to me] company to myself in case any of you were looking for some new high quality items! What do you guys think of them? Let me know in the comments below, find me on Facebook, & chat with me on Instagram! Now I am so excited to decorate our bedroom for Christmas.. Who is excited with me?! Thank you guys so much for stopping by the blog today & every single day! xx

Oh please don’t be afraid of the 30’s. As a gal who is a few years away from 60 (whaaat?) I can say that I think the 30’s are an amazing time of one’s life. We’ll be on the sidelines cheering you on! As for those curtains and beautiful bedroom, I think you knocked it out of the ballpark!
The curtains look like they have always been there. Did you have a four poster bed from Magnolia market at one time? Can’t wait to see the christmas decorations.
Where did you find the curtain rod?
I love your color scheme, so soft and relaxing. I am about to remodel my dining room (the previous owners went mauve and wallpaper :() and I would love three pairs of these curtains for this remodel https://bemz.com/articles/models/curtains/cur20r/
Thank you for the post!

I love the curtains Liz! I have to ask, what color did you paint your bedroom walls?!? I love how soothing it is!
I love Martha and Ash and am about to order the knife pleat panels in the Stark White. So good to know you’re a happy customer. Is your hardware (rod and rings) also from Martha and Ash? Do the single panels cover the entire window for you at night? BTW 30s are good. 😉
They are lovely. My curtains puddle at the floor but I’ve been told that look is “out”. I love it so I don’t care. Your puddles look fabulous.
These look great. Will check them out. By the way, ordered the candle tree lights and they arrived already. Love them!!! Thank you for sharing them!
Gosh, your home is just amazing ❤️ Thank you so much for all of the kind words about our draperies. We are so thrilled to be a part of this space!

Love them! They really do help finish the room. I sort of feel like pretty drapes on windows are to good eyebrows on a face. They frame the whole thing and set the stage. Is that an apropos analogy? Lol. I think it makes sense. ? Anyway this makes me want drapes in our front room which only has blinds.
Liz, I turned 30 at the end of October, and I was ok until about 6 months out…then just started freaking out! My husband and I are infertile as far as we know, though we have adopted a son through foster care 🙂 But anyway, it felt like the end of my 20s was the end of a dream. Then I woke up the morning of my birthday…and I felt AWESOME! I just keep looking in the mirror and saying, “dang, 3p looks GOOD.” so I hope that is encouraging 🙂 your home is gorgeous!
*30. oops!
