I’m so excited to share this project with you guys today! One because I think it’s so cute, but two because y’all we had an ice storm here today & I needed something to distract me from it. Art display can be very tricky in the home. Sometimes you don’t want to make it a terminate piece because it may be a seasonal display, or if the fridge is already full with all your kids latest sketches… this is an alternate to displaying that art to be changed out quickly and painlessly. I hung up some cute spring prints in our dining room in a super cute way & I thought I would share the tutorial with you today in case you wanted to display some easy spring art in your home as well…
CUTE HUH?! Who knew some little clipboards could be transformed into some art displays? Here’s how this little project came about… I was at our shop one day when my pals, The Family Roost, brought some clipboards with prints in to sell & as soon as I saw them.. I was like nope, those are mine! I brought them home & gave them a coat of Magnolia Home paint in olive grove & changed out some of the prints to fit the clipboards from my vintage nature print collection. After the paint was dry, the prints were clipped on, & they were ready to hang I grabbed my trusty twine & scissors and tied some twin from the clip of the clipboards. I then Stapled the string to the top of the chalkboard in our dining room. You could use 3M hooks or something else. I hung them at different heights, but I kind of wanted it to be a little imperfect & messy. That is it. A simple art display made from normal little clipboards that you can find at any office supply store or craft store. Or you may have some already in your basement you aren’t using. The prints? The ones I have are from vintage bird & nature books, but I have seen these prints at flea markets, antique stores, and you can even find some free floral & bird printables online.
I love the chalkboard background for these babies & the way the art pops more because of it. I am loving the cottage greenhouse vibes this little corner is giving me & I will be back later this week to show you the rest of this space & the shelving… today, it was just about that cute art. The best part about the clipboard art? You can totally customize it to your own style to display book pages, paintings, kids art, family photos, & so much more! If you guys make this clipboard art tag me in a photo so I can see it! Ok guys, I have to know… what do you think of this cute art display? Let me know in the comments below, find me on Facebook, & chat with me on Instagram. & as always, THANK YOU for stopping by my blog today & everyday to see what we are up to. It means the world to me!!!
