DIY Greenhouse! I’m so excited to share this with you today!! A few weeks ago Jose & I were garden planning & I mentioned that I wanted a garden shed/greenhouse structure in our garden. Not necessarily a real greenhouse or even a garden shed with a roof, but more of a structure that we can use, but that is covered with ivy & looks like it’s been there for a hundred years. I shared it a few weeks ago on Instagram so I thought I should announce it here even though it isn’t finished yet…
Isn’t she lovely?! So, here she is basically done… we have a few more things to put on her & we also have to put pea gravel in and around her & in the rest of the garden as well. BUT you get the idea! My plans as of right now for her? Right now my plan is to have vines grow over the whole thing to cover the roof and sides. We planted wisteria on each side of the shed to grow up over it & I’m so impatient to see what it will look like. Wisteria is known to grow 10ft a year so we should get a little coverage this year yet! For inside the potting shed/greenhouse, I purchased an old metal workbench & it has a large drawer where I plan to keep little garden tools and on the table, we can use it for potting & plants. We plan to install window boxes & ledges around the shed for display. Someday we might consider putting a roof on her, but for now, since the garden is unfinished we aren’t exactly sure how we will be using her. That’s all I know of now, but I’ll keep you updated with future plans and work we do for this little guy. A lot of you were asking for the plans so we wanted to share those with you today in case you wanted to make your very own for your yard or garden. Jose shared the plans & drew up a guide for you guys on our farm blog [HERE]. Head on over to check those out and tell him what a great job he did!
We are surrounded by a bunch of lovely gardens here, and inspiring people. Check out my friend Holly’s garden I posted about last year (here). We are having so much fun this spring with this garden and garden planning. From our DIY Plant Markers to the Garden Wish List for Every Plant Lady & DIY Greenhouse Clipboard Art… We love spring & I’m loving the way this is turning out & I hope you are too! I can’t wait to share the progress with you as we go this summer on our garden. We have a LONG WAYS to go, but oh my it’s so exciting to think of what this can be! Thank you guys so much for stopping by the blog today & every day to see what we are up to!
It’s amazing! You guys have outdone yourselves once again! Love love love!
Oh my! How lovely is this! You guys are amazing! xo
your husband is a Prince. Now Liz, remember you have to cook all that produce.
LOVE IT!?
Liz Marie, would you by chance have any information that would help me build this garden shed? I could probably create my own shed that looks like yours (which I DO like!), but I didn’t want to create something that is as good as it gets.
Thank you.
