I’m so excited to share today’s post with you today a- because it’s so cozy and ready for Christmas & b- because as soon as I hit publish on this post I’m able to cozy up in our Christmas bed & get some z’s after a very long day here on the farm. I wanted to share this space with you guys to show another example of how simple our Christmas decor is this year & of course hopefully to inspire you as you decorate your homes for the holidays this year…
Simple and cozy right? All I did for our simple cozy Christmas bedroom was add more layers on the bed with a pop of pattern with that sherpa checked blanket from Pottery Barn which is my new favorite blanket. I also layered this pom blanket from Linen & Cake that I picked up on one of our trips to Waco. On our headboard I tied some fresh garland to the top of it with floral wire. The smell at night when I have been sleeping of the fresh pine is so soothing! The shedding isn’t terrible because I’ve been misting all my fresh greens with water to keep it from drying out. On the garland I weaved in some string lights from Pottery Barn as well [HERE]. I replaced the art above our bed with a large fresh wreath as well & I love the mixture of pines on this one & how it’s a statement piece above the bed. Of course the icing on top is the lighting from School House lights above the bed that you can read more about [HERE].
Our room still isn’t finished, but that doesn’t mean we can’t make it cozy & that’s what we simply did this year. This little area in our room holds an antique dresser, a vintage chair, & an old mannequin which we made a little more festive with some fresh greens & a few cozy pieces that are launching in a fun new collection with Cloth & Cabin today that I will be sharing more details on later! You know living in a fixer-upper doesn’t stop me from decorating and making things festive for the holidays.
Simple cozy cottage christmas bedroom. This is exactly what our room is! I hope this proves that Christmas decor doesn’t have to be complicated or require a lot of money. Some simple garland, a wreath, & some cozy blankets is all you need, but of course there is always room to add more if you want! Thank you guys SO MUCH for stopping by the blog today & every single day to see what we are up to. Guess what? I teamed up with a lot of my blog friends to share their Christmas bedrooms as well! That black dresser ???
Love it all, so so beautiful.
Liz, you have such an incredible eye and I love your design aesthetic. I could happily move into any room in your home and never leave. That antique dresser is heart-stopping♥️. May I ask where you found it, and did you paint or refinish it?
