We are soaking in all of the fun festive Christmas decor scattered around the inside of the house, we still took a little time to do a little farmhouse renovation. We partnered with Delaney Hardware and upgraded the look to the front of our home! Now, don’t get hung up on the word renovation, because we barely have enough time to squeeze in our 5 replays of Home Alone during December… When I hear the word renovation, I too think of long hours, pry bars, & a shop vac that needs to be emptied. Renovations are simply updates and upgrades… and while some do require a little demo to be done, not all of them need to be major overhauls to achieve the amazing before and after magic.

Before I go on any further I really have to get something off my chest here! I love design, I love home decor, and art, and all the things you find here on the blog & on my Instagram. I love it so much, sometimes when I am designing spaces I get too close and miss some of the small details. We LOVE the look of both the handles on the new french doors… but it wasn’t our idea, it was Delaney Hardware’s! Now after installing it, stepping back & looking at it, how did we miss such a little detail with such a huge impact! It was remarkable about how much those little details really stood out. The doors and the porch are beautiful, but my goodness the one door knob compared to the pair of Visconti handles is night and day.
We equipped all three french doors with a pair of Visconti Powder Coated Black Handles. One handle is fully functional & the other is called a dummy handle or non-functioning… and my goodness are they awesome! If you missed it, you can check out the blog post, Three French Doors, where I shared why I decided to go with three french doors on the front of our house… Nonetheless they are brand new to the home and once they were installed, we were so in love we missed the thought of doubling the door handles for each door! I think in some cases you can get by with a single door handle or knob, but love the weight and balance these door handles bring to the look of the front!
As I mentioned, we are teaming up with Delaney Hardware to launch a new brand new campaign with them, “12 Doors of December!” Delaney hopes to inspire homeowners to beautify their front entrances to welcome holiday guests! This festive campaign runs from December 13 – 24, featuring photos of beautiful cozy entry doors with Delaney Handles! We are so happy to launch this fun little campaign… and if you want to follow along head over to 12 Doors of December (here) or check these accounts below! Thank you guys so much for stopping by the blog today and every single day to see what we are up to.. it means the world to me! I hope this post inspires you and that you love our Christmas porch and new look to our front doors!! xx

Do you happen to recall where you got your porch lights?
QUESTION: DO YOU LEAVE MUCH FURNITURE OUT ON YOUR PORCH IN WINTER? WE LIVE IN OHIO AND I FEEL LIKE I NEED TO PUT EVERYTHING WOODEN/TEXTILE AWAY BECAUSE IT JUST ROTS WITH ALL THE SNOW ICE AND RAIN. OUR PORCH LOOKS PRETTY EMPTY IN THE WINTER TIME AND IT’S A BIG ONE LIKE YOURS…ANY IDEAS? I HAVE A GOAT CART WITH PINE AND A SMALL BENCH…ANY IDEAS?
