I LOVE doing these mantle posts that I do here on the blog where I share our mantle styled different ways. I hope they give you some fresh new ideas and prospectives for your mantles or other focal point surfaces like your sofa tables, entryway tables, piano tops, & so much more. You don’t have to have a mantle to be inspired by this post… no worries!!! I love these posts because it shows you how one space can look so different with some super simple changes. Let’s see our mantle styled three different ways this Christmas season…
The Cozy Rustic Christmas Mantle:
This mantle is true to my love for cozy rustic cottage style. I hung a small vintage mirror over the mantle & made a DIY wreath by simply wrapping some of my leftover fresh garland around a metal wreath form. I hung the DIY wreath around the vintage mirror to make it a bigger focal point above the mantle. I then put a rocking horse that I painted black that I found at HomeGoods on one end of the mantle & balanced out the other side of the mantle with a lamp from Pottery Barn, some books, & a couple of my favorite bottle brush trees that I found at a local vintage shop. We don’t use this fireplace quite yet in our home because it needs some repairs, but to make a fireplace screen I used an antique metal gate & clipped book pages to it.
The Neutral Cozy Christmas Mantle:
This mantle is more simple than the last mantle with the large gold mirror from Anthropologie. I kept the same fresh greens on the mantle with the string lights from Pottery Barn & the stockings from Crate & Barrel. I also added many more the bottle brush trees that I found at a local antique store. It’s clean and simple, but still super cozy with all of the textures & more clean than the last mantle style because of the large piece over the mantle instead of a bunch of medium sized & smaller items. The large gold mirror also demands more attention and reflects more light which is great this time of year to make the space feel warmer & cozier.
The Festive Cozy Cottage Mantle:
This festive mantle is pretty much the same as the last mantle, but I added a pop of color and some fun ornaments from our shop [HERE]. That pop of color? Wrapping paper! It’s a simple little addition, but it makes such a big impact. I added two rolls of rifle paper co. wrapping paper that I plan on wrapping presents with into the stockings. I also put a sheet of the wrapping paper onto the antique gate with pins to bring some color to the fireplace. A little more festive & a little more cozy Christmas vibes.
