This January for us has been all about the clearing out, the cleaning, the getting rid of all the things, & the organizing of what we keep. Today as I walked in our unfinished back door area I caught myself doing something that I always preach against…. I turned down an idea I had because I told myself that it wasn’t worth it because we aren’t renovating the back hallways so why make it temporarily beautiful. You guys know I’m a firm believer in even making your temporary situation cozy. I’m a believer that it doesn’t have to be a huge project or renovation always.. sometimes it’s the simple things that can bring joy to your home. So, I made a quick “drop” spot in our back entryway today to show you how simple it can really be. All I used was a wall hook & a painting to create a little simple entryway/mudroom area to drop items from coats to cleaning items…

I talked today on my stories that our house is my palette. It’s how I get all my creative ideas out of my head. The blog and my social media is my medium where I share my ideas and inspirations with you. I hope that each and every post offers you a little inspiration and motivation to make your homes a cozy environment that you and your family love. This little idea I’m sharing today proves that you don’t need much to add a little organization to your entryway, closet, bedroom, bathroom, & more. A simple wall hook which can be found at many stores like Target, Home Goods, & so much more along with some art & voila… you have a little pretty drop center perfect for small spaces, apartments, & so much more. The hooks I used are antique and the art I used is from [HERE], but there are so many ways you can customize this for your home.

A place to hang coats for guests, book bags, cleaning supplies, & so much more can make a HUGE impact even though it’s a small change. I hope this post shows you it doesn’t have to be a lot to make a big change in your home & that a quick 10 minute project is sometimes all you need. Thank you guys SO MUCH for stopping by the blog today & every single day to see what we are up to. Be sure to follow us on Instagram to get more behind the scenes here at the farm. xx

So cute! I (actually my husband) made one for me to have in my office at work. I like to keep a variety of cardigans at work to throw on if I get cold and didn’t have anyplace to keep them. An old board, a few hooks and a about 15 minutes and I have the perfect spot. Thanks for sharing!!
I was just thinking today, why bother ordering wall hangings for my baby’s new nursery when we’re just going to be moving out of state in a couple months and will have to pack it all. Your blog post inspired me to order them today! 🙂 Nice entryway!
