Happy Spring!! During our spring cleaning escapades lately I’ve been really thinking outside the box on storage. Our home doesn’t come with a shortage of storage spaces, but with me it’s like that book “If you give a mouse a cookie” where if you give me more closets… I will just stuff them with things. By thinking outside of the box I’ve been thinking of more “open storage” options that make storage pretty & more of a pretty display in your home where you can see your useful and beautiful items instead of shoving them in a closet. This also helps cut back on the “stuff” and allows you to only want to keep the items that you truly love. This was one of my ideas that I came up with for pretty & open storage…

For this little idea I used some wood peg hooks that I found at The Container Store [HERE]. I hung them on the wall butted up against each other [In this area of our living room I have four hanging together] For the living room my idea was that these hooks could be useful to store & display throws & blankets, baskets, sweaters, and art. Since this area is near the entryway it makes a lot of sense to have this drop area as well. Above the wood peg hooks I have an architectural piece hanging & below is a little antique bench. I actually have some other plans for this space, but I wanted to share this quick idea with you guys in case you were ramping up your spring cleaning now that the season is officially upon us.

These wood peg hooks can be used in the kitchen, entryway, mud room, laundry room, kids rooms, closets, and so much more. I’m really loving the wood peg hook vibe for an added cozy cottage vibe to add to spaces. I’ll be back with more on this space, but I really wanted to share that storage can be pretty & useful at the same time. Our storage can become our decor… & I love how convenient our throws are now & that for this large empty wall it’s looking pretty full and cozy these days. Thank you guys so much for stopping by the blog today… I hope you feel inspired & I also hope you stop by the blog daily to see what we are up to! xx
