This past weekend was filled with a ton of snuggles and a little antiquing. I get asked all the time what brings me inspiration when I’m feeling uninspired… Well, there are many things but my number one thing is to go walk around a creative boutique, flea market, or antique shop. This weekend we walked around a couple antique shops & of course I found a few items that inspired me to freshen up some spaces in our home for spring. One of the areas that I had some fun with was in our entryway. It’s looking like spring here and I wanted to show you the beginning of our spring refresh in our entryway…

Those drawers… yup. I had to. Ya’ll at this point it’s a straight up addiction. In my defense I have brought some of my drawer pieces to my booth at our shop because I figured no-one needs that many drawers… or do they? Anyways… I just couldn’t pass these ones up. The color, the numbers, the shape… they were “needed”. As soon as I got them I knew they needed to be in a spring vignette & I decided to play around in our entryway with the drawers, this antique folding table, & some antique flower pots. I did mix in a few new things like that watering can and gardening tools from Target.

How To Get This Look:
- Terra-cotta pots
- Long table old or new
- gardening tools [new or antique]
- watering can
- drawers
- real or faux greens
- wooden candlesticks
- potting frogs
- baskets
- Extra items you could use: seed packets, botanical prints, & other gardening items old or new.
You can recreate the look using these items I found at Target:

This antique table find from our shop is fun and I envision two large baskets underneath, but until then I styled other items underneath. I have some other plans for this space that I will be back to share those changes when they are made, but spring is coming so quickly that I wanted to start sharing more inspiration for you guys in case you are planning for the new season ahead. Thank you guys so much for stopping by the blog today & every single day to see what we are up to. I hope you feel more inspired every single time you stop by! xx
Love your blog
Always gives me so much inspiration
So happy for you and Jose and your beautiful baby boy
Hope you have a blessed day
Thanks again
Tina
If I saw that when I entered, I’d never want to leave! A place where I can get my hands in dirt and visit? Score! It looks wonderful. That table has me drooling, it reminds me of the hutch we have in our entry. It’s a favorite decorating spot that always gets me going.
Thanks for the inspiration. Have a great day!
Omgosh……. You had me at drawers! Love them so much. That folding table is something I’ve never seen before. Really versatile I would think. As usual love your blog today LizMarie. Lots of snow on the ground here in Wisconsin but Thurs is suppose to get to sixty. Wishing for that. Thanks so much for the joy you give! ?? Becky
Okay, you got me! What is a potting frog? This looks lovely.
Liz!!! I just seriously love your blog & style!! I’ve heard others say that blogs are no longer used but I totally disagree & your blog is what I use to prove my point! Haha seriously! Mega talented friend! Love you!
Beautiful as usual. I love how you can take ordinary, mundane clay pots and make them look amazing. I have to start thinking outside of the box and you just gave me the inspiration to do so. Have a blessed week!
Hi Liz! Saw you on TV this morning! Great job on the commercial! Your entry way is getting me excited to start planting!
Beautiful! May I ask where you got the US mail pillow from?
Another beautiful setting. You are so talented. Yes, I too would love to know about the mail pillow . Curious as to where did you move the gorgeous bench/daybed that was there previously. Bless your growing family.
I love that US Mail pillow, too…any chance you would share the source? Thank you and happy ‘almost’ spring!
Love the pillow as well! Could you share the source? I have a habit of buying drawers and those are great!
You must be my “long lost” daughter. I had just found your blog and website before Christmas when adding to my Pinterest boards. This cold, snowy VT weekend had me catching up on most of your blogs from the past-especially loved the on on the Silos in Waco and the story about Grace.
I also love to change things up with several vignettes in our small VT cottage (a true fixer upper-was originally a deer camp during VT hunting season.) I actually purchased the smaller version of the Essex Rabbit from Pottery Barn shown in one of your spring posts. I added a small preserved boxwood topiary in a small olive bucket and a nest of eggs along with a some greenery and, of course, a candle. You are truly an inspiration!
Thanks for your thoughtful blogs, photos and for sharing creative design.
exquisite!! love love love the drawers and the panoramic pictures with the plants. I have quite a few of these elements but never thought to combine them. definitely plan a hall redo this spring break!
It is always inspiring to see what you are up to around the house! It is especially nice to see your sweet smile! Hugs to you, Jose & all the critters!
Great job! I usually visit greenhouses whenever I get stumped this time of the year. But trade shows and Home Parades help me, too.
Spring is always a joy to decorate for me. I give myself permission to use yellow, which isn’t normal in my palette, by incorporating green in all shades and white. Once I pull things together I always wonder why I doubt the use of yellow.
Take care and thank you for all of your inspiration!
Karen
