We are trying to make our sunroom more of a cozy heart of the home room. I wanted this to be a space we spend more time in as a family & could be a gathering spot for having friends and family over. Our sunroom is one of my favorite spaces in our home and I am so excited about the changes I’ve made in here & about all the changes that are coming…

One big addition to our sunroom was bringing a fan back into the space. These windows let in so much sunlight [which we love & totally is the purpose of our sunroom] but it can get really hot in here especially with temperatures reaching the high 90’s. Our fan [HERE] has seriously been a lifesaver in this space on these hot days in Michigan summer. We love that the fan was super easy to put together & came in a small enough size to fit in this kind of awkward space! We got our fan from Hunter Fan Company [HERE] in the style Loki & color fresh white. Soon we will be adding beams and tongue and groove to the ceiling as well which will really cozy up this space!

Our kitchen is the gathering space of our home & since the sunroom is right off the kitchen we decided to try putting a TV in the sunroom for the first time. We aren’t huge TV people but we do like to turn the TV on while we relax at night … We are trying this TV in here for now but we are thinking we might want a smaller one for this space. I think a smaller tv will be less distracting from all those beautiful windows!!

I am so excited about the changes we’ve made in the sunroom, I’ve already spent a majority of my day in here. And I know we will be spending even more time in here with our tv in the space and the fan to help keep it cool on these hot summer days. What do you guys think of the updates to the sunroom? I will be back very soon with more changes we make to this space… Thank you for visiting the blog and seeing what we are up to! Xx Liz Marie
We have sunroom on our list of rooms for our dream house. It is a must for me, do you find it a great place to gather all year? That’s what we are hoping for in our dream home.
I love that you added a fan, especially a hunter one( we have one in our bedroom and it is lovely). I also love your cozy tv set up. We aren’t big tv watchers either but it is a nice way for us to relax at the end of the day sometimes. Also that vintage couch…all the heart eyes:).
Love what you’ve done. That couch is to die for!!!!!
Oh my gosh that’s my couch, ha ha!!! And there’s a love seat as well?? Was wondering if they match the chairs in the front room. I’m a little obsessed with them, ha! Love the sunroom and looking out those gorgeous windows!!
Liz,
I love the built ins along the one side and the couch. Since you brought that orange couch home I’ve been thinking that I’d also like a pop of orange. I have an antique chair that I want to chalk paint and I’m thinking of using orange velvet for the fabric.
Ohhhh la la, the big sister couch!!!! She’s perfecttttt in the there!!! Love, love and LOVE!!!!?? The age old “decorating around the tv” thing, it’s a real thing!! But you did it beautifully!! The kitchen is going to be gorgeous once you’re done, those quartz counters look like the ones we got, they look fabulous!!!! It’s all coming together my friend!!!?
What is the colour of white paint on the walls and floors?? Love the while look and it is beautifully done ❤️❤️
Love!!! I love everything you do to that room!
Of course it looks amazingly cozy Liz! I LOVE it!
That couch is dreamy. It’s been fun seeing how you have been able to transform this space in so many different ways. Did you use to have roman shades on these windows? Or is that in another room? I like how airy the half sheers are. I hope to have a sun room like this one day.
The new couch and love seat would look so good with your old curtains and decor when you decided to incorporate rust color in the past.
Where did you get the pillows on leather sofa beautiful room!
Love your sunroom looks cozy and wonderful with all the windows. I think t.v. is for night time to relax in front of.
thank you for the many pics you take its great!
Hi Liz.
Is the bench a custom builtin? The drawers look so much like the Pottery Barn Bench. I love it!! The couch is the coolest I’ve seen. Looks great!
