After all this talk this week about big box store sales I’m SO EXCITED to chat with you guys a little today about a small shop that I love so much & that I visited this past weekend. Every once in a while when I find a small shop that I love around the country.. I will share it here on the blog with you guys so that you can support them & show them some love. Also, because I wouldn’t be a good friend if I didn’t share them with you! Today I’m chatting about Like Mother Like Daughter Vintage in Howell, Michigan. THE STORE & THE PEOPLE BEHIND IT ARE TRUE GEMS! Let’s take a look at the shop & then I will tell you why they are so amazing…

Isn’t it cute?! The shop is a small shop in a historic downtown setting that is packed full of vintage and antiques. The most exciting news? They are expanding soon! Even more exciting is that this shop is located in a darling downtown setting filled with awesome little shops and restaurants so if you go and visit there is plenty to do on your day trip. Let’s talk about this amazing small shop though.. I met the mother and daughter duo last year at our mercantile market over Labor Day weekend. Right away when we met they were so warm and inviting & we became instant friends… that’s how they greet everyone at their brick and mortar shop I noticed as well. The shop is a mother and daughter duo who share the same love and passion for antiques and decor, but it’s more than them.. it’s the whole family! From the dad to the mom to the grandma to the sisters.. & beyond! They all participate in some way & it’s such a gift to watch them all work together. The shop is not only brimming with antiques, but also amazing finds.

My favorite part of my visit was how obsessed they were with Cope… it melted my heart! I was able to get some time to shop while they loved on him & he wasn’t the least bit mad about it! I got a few finds from the shop including that lovely settee, an old school house light, a couple pillows made from antique fabric that the grandma of the family sewed & a few other finds… I’ll be sharing more soon & more on my Instagram stories today. If you are ever near Howell Michigan you need to stop in this shop & of course follow them online [HERE] for some great antique find inspiration! Thank you guys as always for stopping by the blog & for supporting all these amazing people with me. xx

This shop is amazing!! The ladies have so many wonderful pieces! Loved that store or old hotel piece with all the mail cubbies and file folder slots; they have displayed it and everything else so well!! Thank you for sharing your day!!
What a talent they have with displays. Got several ideas for my own home. Wish they were closer to NC!
