It is no secret how much I love entryways. If you visit the blog you see how much I love changing our entryway up. I even posted a Simple and Clean Cottage Style last week! Check it out here (link) To me, it is the welcome sign for your home & also it’s a fun way for me to share inspiration with you guys monthly throughout the season changes. I do get a lot of comments from people saying that they do not have an entryway at the moment. One of the most common reasons I hear all of the time from people is that they don’t have enough space for an entryway… But where there is a will – there is a way! So, quickly today I wanted to share this super simple space that only took up 50 inches…

Super simple huh? You can of course change things up as you see fit for your home, but for this look I used a small bench that fit between the two doors that you could put right next to your door where needed. A few pillows, a basket to throw shoes in, and a couple other items & we have a super simple entryway. You can try so many fun combos here, but these equations are a great place to start & get inspired….
bench + baskets + greenery = cozy
coat hooks + bench + basket = cozy
dresser + basket + greenery = cozy
entry table + baskets + art = cozy
So simple that it only needs 50 inches of wall space! I really love that you can completely customize it to fit the space it is in & that you can make it as simple or complex as you want. For your space you could add a coat rack, a shelf, a small dresser if you don’t want a bench, or anything else that fits well in your small space. I used the bench & antique window as the starting point. Then I added a few pillows to our bench, a plant, & a basket underneath! I personally love adding baskets to an entryway because they can hold shoes, jackets, or bags without distracting from the overall look.

You know I’m all about making my home cozy & inviting … I think that’s why I love entryways so much. Creating a beautiful entryway helps your guests feel welcomed from the moment they enter your home. Not all homes have a well established-carved out area to style an entryway. It may just be a simple layout of the home or a smaller entry to the home that limits your area to style. Nonetheless, I am here to testify, if there is a will- there is a way. This little area in the front of our house is a quick “hi” to our guests & really warms up this area a lot.

My recommendation is to give it a try with a few pieces you already own. Once you’ve decided that your space can work as an entryway … Then you can add additional pieces you have found or may want to purchase to fit your entryway! Find an antique piece or DIY a piece that will perfectly fit your space and create the “backdrop” for your entryway. A DIY bench is always a great idea like these [HERE] & [HERE]. From there it’s about adding a few small pieces that represent you, your home, and your style. I hope this inspires you & gives you ideas for ways to create an entryway in your space no matter what the size is! Thank you so much for visiting the blog today and every day … It truly means the world to me. Xx Liz Marie

This is such a happy and cozy entryway. In our home we have a small entryway so this is great inspiration for me. Also I am in love with those boots:)
Is that a vintage basket under the bench?
I love your taste. What color is the shiplap? Love the creamy white.
Love your creativity with every post Liz! Thank you for sharing.
