I love seeing how excited you guys are for the office shed with me. Having a space dedicated to work has been incredibly helpful for us … It is so encouraging to see your excitement and all of your kind words on Instagram, Facebook, & the blog! I also saw a bunch of you guys asking questions & I figured the best way to answer your questions would be to share them on the blog for everyone to see. If you have more questions about the shed leave them in the comments and I will update this blog post!

What is the size of the shed? What is the ceiling height?
The shed is 10ft by 20ft, the ceilings are 8ft high. We plan to extend the ceiling up soon though!
How did you get electricity to your shed?
We already had electricity wired to this general area, but an electrician came in and installed electricity in the shed.
Where is the shed located on the farm? Is it on the cement slab?
The shed is between our house and the barn, looking out the window you can see the pasture where our sheeps are! The cement you are seeing is our driveway, the shed is not on the cement but is next to the cement.

I’m interested in getting a shed, how do I get started?
You can click this link [HERE] to learn more about how to get a backyard shed like mine. Just enter your zip code and click “find a siding contractor” and it’ll pop out businesses in your area that you can work with to learn more.

How did you layer framed photos on the wall?
So many of you have been asking about the frames … This was a DIY project so keep your eyes out for a DIY coming soon!!
Do you still have an office space in your home?
As of right now, we do not have a designated office in our home. Technically we still work in our home though, since we are constantly styling and working on projects!

What color are the window boxes & trim?
The window boxes and trim are both painted with Benjamin Moore Classic Gray Paint! We provided the paint to the LP Shed & Tuff Shed teams for them to use on the trim & we painted the window boxes ourselves.
Can you use it all year?
Yes, we can! Our top priority was a shed we could use year-round. Currently, we have a portable AC in the office but our HVAC will be installed by the end of the month.
Did you put in a bathroom?
No, we didn’t put in a bathroom. The shed is just a few steps from the back door of our home, so we can easily go inside!

Where is the rug from? Do you like it, does it hold up?
Here is this exact rug I got from Walmart [HERE], I absolutely love this rug it is really high quality and very durable. If we are being really honest I haven’t met a jute rug I didn’t love. I shared more rugs I love from Walmart [HERE].

Where are the sofa, medallion, and gold lamp from?
I got so many questions about the sofa, medallion & the gold lamp. The sofa is from The Found Cottage. The medallion & gold lamp are both antiques, so I can’t link them for you guys but I would highly recommend trying to hunt for something similar if you like these.
What type of material is the shed made of?
It’s made from a variety of LP Shed products. The siding and trim are LP SmartSide Trim & Siding. We used a grain-texture siding that we painted white to match the exterior of the rest of our farm. We also love that it gives the look of natural wood, but it’s made of an engineered wood material so it’s extremely durable and will last for years. The roofing is LP ProStruct Roof Sheathing With SilverTech. It’s made with a radiant barrier that will keep our shed cool in Michigan’s summer heat and keep electrical costs down.
What kind of flooring do you have in the shed?
The flooring is LP ProStruct Flooring with SmartFinish, which is designed to resist termites and keep pests out. As you can guess that was super important to us in an outdoor office!
If you have any other questions about the shed leave me a comment & I will update this blog post. Thank you guys so much for stopping by the blog today and every day to see what we are up to! Xx Liz Marie
We have been talking about getting a shed for me to have an office in so I can still “go to work” when I work from home. I am so excited about the prospect of it. Thank you for sharing today.
The shed turned out so beautiful. It would be a delight to “walk to work”. I can’t wait to see how you decorate thru the seasons Thanks for sharing
I’d love to know where your exterior wall sconces are from!
I’m looking to paint my house to look like that but I’m having a hard time picking the colour. What did you use ?
Please share where the Adirondack chairs came from. Love the stain color!
Still hoping for you to share where the Adirondack chairs came from. I want to order and have looked all over the web and can’t find these. Please share!
