I might have mentioned this before but we turned our sunroom into a second dining room! We host a little Thanksgiving celebration at our house every year & since I moved the sofa from our sunroom into our living room … I thought it was a perfect time to turn our sunroom into a second dining room! I know so many of you guys love seeing our dining table in the sunroom, so I am so excited to share this look with you guys.

When it comes to making things cozy for fall I cannot recommend texture enough!! Fall is the perfect time to load up on texture in every part of your home. Today I’ll focus on textures in the dining room, would you want to see tips for incorporating textures into other rooms?? Let me know in the comments!

Fall is the perfect time to begin incorporating different textures into your home. The textured elements I brought together for this vinette are feathers, chippy paint, dried corn stalk, glassware, and pumpkins [real & faux]. Loading up a variety of textures into any room instantly amps up the cozy factor! If you don’t have one of the elements you could substitute a different plant or try some mixed metals.

I love mixing textures for fall because it brings so much life and variety to a room. Wanna know my secret trick? I always try to mix real & faux of any plants I use. Real pumpkin, corn stalks, or other plants mixed in with faux plants helps to make your faux items look more real. Bonus this saves you money in the long run! Your faux items can be reused over & over again and you only have to purchase a few real plants each year.

I hope this inspires you for styling your dining room for fall, it feels so cozy having all of these different textures in our sunroom. Thank you guys so much for stopping by the blog today, it means the world to me! Xx Liz Marie
Perfectly Perfect! <3
I’m so excited, I just ordered your book !! Can’t wait to put on my oversized cashmere sweater, some leggings, warm socks and curl up on the sofa with my glasses, a hot cup of coffee and your book !!! I hope it’s a huge success for you !! Have a question for you: what was the original use for the rack you are using with plates on the table ? Loving all the fall decor !!
A unique interior. So sensual and clean. Although it is spacious, it is also cozy. It’s really a unique combination. The motif of bird feathers sweeping flowers … a crazy idea! I’m delighted!
Can you provide a source for the Lords Prayer you have on the dresser? Thank you.
Love all of this!! Can’t wait to get your book this week and YES please show us more more tips for other rooms!
So inspiring! Can we please see the kitchen decked for Fall next??
Of course, more, more, more of your beautiful vignettes! Always look forward to seeing what you have so creatively combined. Love the old coal scuttle filled with the dried corn. I grew up on a Missouri farm up next to the Iowa and Nebraska lines so everything you do is so nostalgic for me. Thanks for the continued inspiration!
Love the organic/cozy/elegant way you decorate. Just lovely.
Love the coziness and chipiness of all your lovely fall decor, so inspiring.
Hi Liz, I would love to see more of decorating with texture I can’t seem to get enough of your lovely home. I’ve been a interior designer for over 30 years and I’ve always liked my own style but what you have done to your home is so unique and appropriate for where you live. I’m so glad that I found you a few years back I never miss a blog post and I just eat up your Instagram account. I don’t leave comments often but today I just had to tell how beautiful and talented you are. I also pre ordered your book and I received the free presets which I can’t wait to use but because I am a dits with computer stuff I can’t get it downloaded on my Iphone. Even following the instructions page I wasn’t able to get it to work. Oh, well. I’m looking so forward to getting your book and putting it on a place of pride on my antique coffee table! Thank you for being you!
xoxo Jo

Really beautiful Liz! So beautiful…… Your book looks amazimg. ????
I also love the framed Lord’s prayer and would like to know where you found it! Beautiful.
Would love to know where you get your green pumpkins from, please. It’s all very lovely.
I was also wondering where you got the Lord’s Prayer art. I’ve been looking for one larger pice of art to hang by my table and this would be perfect. Thanks!
