Wow this weekend has been nothing short of a whirlwind! I am posting this Wednesday morning… just because I had to literally give myself a recovery day. I have been able to do so many incredible things this past weekend all because of you guys. Do you ever have those moments when you sit back a pause, and reflect on all the things and steps it took to get you to that very moment, I had many of those this past weekend? It’s all because of you that visit the blog, always supporting and nudging us along our little journey. So why was this a dream weekend you ask? Well, first, I had the honor of attending Vintage Pickin’ for a book signing and Q&A! I got to meet SO many of you guys. The thankfulness and emotions were running on high at that market. It is so special to see what is on the other side of this screen, and the little impacts and connections that are made in this weird digital world we live in. So many heartfelt stories that brought me to tears of both joy and sadness for those out there that connect with blog… I will never forget each interaction I encountered the book signing. After that, I quickly headed off to New York where I was guest on Today with Hoda & Jenna!

Let’s start with the book signing! I am so so so thankful that April invited me to attend her Vintage Pickin Market in South Carolina. I met so many of you guys & heard how our life and our story has impacted you … Can I just say – wow! Every time I hear how our story & our struggles have helped you overcome, open up, or work through your own struggles I know God is telling me I’m on the right path. Sharing our lives hasn’t always been easy but it makes it all worth it knowing it can help you guys too. I just can’t thank you guys enough for patiently waiting in line to meet me. I always try to spend time getting to know & chat with each and every one of you because I couldn’t do what I do without you!

This was the first Vintage Pickin in South Carolina and my first time attending Vintage Pickin and I absolutely loved it. April brings in the best vendors with so many amazing finds and goodies. I was so impressed with how many loyal customers and market-goers came from Alabama to this show, simply to show support of the vendors attending the market and April… That is a true testament to our community, a community as a fellow business owner truly appreciates. At the market, I was seriously wishing I could buy it all, but not everything can fit in my suitcase! I mean, I literally sent a box of a few little things I got at the market, because they were not getting toted to NYC.

At this market, Jose and I also had the opportunity to sit down for a Q&A with you guys. I loved being able to sit down with Jose and answer your questions. We definitely don’t have all of the answers in the world, but I hope that by sharing our experiences we can help you guys. I can’t wait to continue to meet & hug you guys at more book signings in the future! My next book signing is at the Country Living Fair in Atlanta, Georgia. I’m giving a presentation Friday at 1:30pm on the Main Stage, and then signing books Friday from 2:30-3:30pm! Check out the full schedule here. I want to say, Country Living has given me only an hour to sign, so I am so sorry if we don’t get enough time to chat between each signing.. that truly fills my soul!

Adding onto this incredible weekend, I also received the huge honor of being featured on Today with Hoda & Jenna, with Maria Shriver as the guest host! Let me tell you, this was an entire experience of firsts for me. Jose & I had never been to New York and I had never been on Live TV. It was so special for us to be able to visit New York as a family and experience all of these first with Cope. While in NYC we, of course, visited Times Square, Rockefeller Center, Grand Central Station, FAO Schwarz, and the set of The Today Show. This incredible honor was due to all of the love and support you guys have given to my book Cozy White Cottage. I cannot thank you enough for buying, sharing, reviewing, gifting, and loving my book.

For the Today Show, I had the Cozy Fall Segment and I showed how to go from a blank canvas to a cozy fall room. I decorated the space using a few simple but key pieces to cozy up for Fall! I also shared some of my best tips & tricks to home décor from how I stuff my pillows, to how I lay the perfect throw blanket. If you missed my segment on The Today Show you can watch it HERE and they also included the links to all of the products featured in the segment (plus a few extras)!

Wow – I cannot even express how thankful I am for this weekend. It truly was a dream and doesn’t feel quite real to me yet. I’m wondering when it will actually sink in that I was on The Today Show, met Hoda & Maria, and met hundreds of you guys. Truly nothing motivates me more to keep sharing on the blog and socials than meeting you guys. I appreciate every single one of you that showed up and waited to get your book signed! Your support means the world to me and I couldn’t do this without you guys. I feel so thankful to share my passions, my life, and my struggles with you guys daily! Thank you doesn’t even begin to cover what I’m feeling but it’s the best word I’ve got, THANK YOU for everything. Xx Liz Marie

So proud of you Liz! You deserve all the success + more. Our family is cheering you on.
I have been a fan for many years. My husband and I found out about you first shop and had to come visit. We live outside of Chicago and have made the drive quite a few times. My husband passed away a year ago so my trips won’t be as often. He loved your style and the fun things in your shop. We never went home empty handed. He loved buying for our home and making it cozy. So happy for all your success. Keep up the good work and stay true to yourself. You have a beautiful family.
So happy for you to have a dream come true, amazing weekend!!!! We appreciate all the hard work you put into sharing your home, decor and personal side too! It’s so lovely to look at all your wonderful pics and be inspired to create a cozy home for my family! I thank God always for providing a home for our family because there are so many that don’t have that. Keep up your heartfelt blog!! And thank you!!!
Liz Marie, I just want to say THANK YOU for being you and being such an inspiration to me! In just a few short months, you have literally changed my life by helping me develop my own decorating style and making me love my home. I have been struggling with finding my own style, but I discovered you on Pinterest and pre-ordered your book immediately. With your lead, I have been able to coordinate all the things I love and make them work together. Never has anyone been so exact on honing in on every element of things I love. From the colors and textures you use to your love for the Lord. I pray that someday I will be able to meet you, but until then I will keep following you and enjoying my own cozy cottage. Love, prayers and gratitude to you and your family…
Liz thank you for the daily Cope happy face and giggles on your Instagram feed! And congratulations on your much deserved success.
Loved that I was able to access the clip from The Today Show. You sounded just as sweet as I imagined! What a great job in making the space cozy! I’m treating myself to your book for Christmas and my birthday which is Dec. 22nd. And FYI-I do remember Christopher Lowell-a pioneer in the whole decorating TV landscape. I celebrate finding your website one year ago while perusing my Pinterest account for ides to my boards…
Any change you remember where that hammered metal noel sign could be purchased? i need it!
