Today I started something super exciting today over on my Instagram [HERE] & it’s a book club for Cozy White Cottage! I would love for you to join me! If you have the book then follow along in my stories and here on the blog & I will post the book club often where I elaborate on all of the tips I give and share sources & more info on each tip. If you haven’t got a copy of my book, Cozy White Cottage, you can pick one up for less than $18 on Amazon [HERE]. Today on stories I started the book club conversation by talking about tip #88 COZY GLOW. I love adding a cozy glow to all my spaces & I shared a few ways I do it here in our sunroom today…

Adding a cozy glow can of course be done with lighting like wall sconces, chandeliers, & more. Or a cozy glow can be added with candles, but what happens when you want more of a cozy glow & candles aren’t possible? Like on high shelves, in kids rooms, & other places that candles can’t go. That’s where I love to add a cozy glow with twinkle lights, string lights, & other lights to add an additional cozy glow to my spaces. In the book I touched on adding twinkle lights to jars, cloches, & more but in our sunroom this holiday season I added a cozy glow with a bunch of twinkle lights and wanted to share the cozy with you guys today…

Starting here in the sunroom was the perfect spot to talk about cozy glow & I did more in my book club series on stories if you want to follow along [HERE] I also added it my story highlights so it was saved for those who want to follow long later…
Some cozy glow elements I used here:
It’s amazing what some simple strands of cozy lights can do to a space. They are great for draping around art, on an armoire, on a coffee table, a sofa table, a centerpiece, & more. The great thing is that the cozy glow doesn’t just have to be at Christmas time, it can last through the whole year. Twinkle lights aren’t just for Christmas time. the cozy glow can last all year with string lights on bookshelves, in cabinets, & more. The rest of the year when twinkle lights are done more subtle it makes it less “Christmas” and more “cozy”.
My daughter & her family live several hours away so I travel to their home earlier in the month for our Christmas. This year I received your book as one of my gifts. I’m saving it for Christmas Day. I will be at home by the fire curled up reading your book & making my home cozier for our Michigan winter. Oh I also received a gift of herbal teas so I plan on having a big cup of tea too. Enjoy Cope’s firsts!
I am so so excited for book club. I have been loving the cozy glow of the holiday season so much that I am looking for ways to carry it through the winter. I love your inspiring ideas of putting lights in cloches and jars.
I recently just watched #88 Cozy Glow on FB…loved it! I love your tree & have been looking to replace mine with one similar to yours. I didn’t see the link to it on the post or I missed it. Could you please link it here, thank you!
Here is a link to the tree! It said there was only one left when I checked! https://rstyle.me/+R-WeFeotcP1Eno47Mw9G1w
Bought the book for myself for my birthday 12/22 and for Christmas! Curled up yesterday and browsed through it then went back to start reading….want to savor every page. A truly beautiful, organized missive on your lovely style which has been my style for about 10 years. I renovated an old deer camp and ended up with a tiny cottage. Space is always an issue which is why I ended up with much white and wood and painted pieces.
Loved seeing you both times on TV morning show….you are just as sweet in person!
Thanks for this book!
Yay! I am so glad you are excited about the book club. I’m sharing lots of cozy glow tips on Instagram this week as well!
Thank you so much for sharing! That sounds like a cozy Christmas!!
Thank you for the link! It’s sold out but it’s similiar to the one I was looking at from another company…although I do love Anthropology! I’ll keep a check on it for next year, thanks again!
Wondering about the pretty ottoman.coffee table in your sun room, still available somewhere, just love it, thanks
Just started reading your book and love it!! If anyone can answer this question. On page 2 of the book, what kind of plants are those? The two that are the same. Thx!!
