This year our approach at winter kitchen was a fresh vibe. I wanted everything to feel really fresh, simple, and clean in the new year. We decided not to do winter greens but instead a really fresh vibe that would take us right into spring.

I try to make sure everything I have out on our counters & shelves is an everyday item. It can be easy to clutter these spaces with decor items but instead, I try to decorate with items that are functional for our kitchen. If each item is something you use daily I find that this also helps to prevent dust or grime from gathering on these items.

Our kitchen is the heart of our home. It’s a gathering place anytime we have guests over and I hope one day it will be a place Cope & his friends will want to spend time in as well. Often times it can be a struggle to make a kitchen feel cozy and you guys know I strive for EVERY room in our home to be cozy. For me, there are a few elements that can add cozy vibes to our kitchen. The primary elements I incorporated were wood tones, copper pieces, plants, and of course my antique finds.

I couldn’t write a blog post about our kitchens without giving you the official update on the sources for the room. The shiplap walls are painted with Sherwin Williams Pure White. The trim & ceilings are painted with Magnolia Home True White. The floors are painted with Benjamin Moore Tapestry Beige and sealed with Pro Finisher Polyurethane for floors in the low luster finish [Found ours at Home Depot]. If you have more questions about our floors, check out this post!

The cabinets are from West Michigan Lumber the brand is Holiday Kitchens and the color is the whitest white they offer. The hardware on the cabinets is from The Found Cottage. Our farmhouse sink is from Amazon & the faucet is from Amazon as well. The countertops are rococo quartz & I answered all of your questions about the counters in a blog post HERE. Is there something else you want the source for? Let me know in the comments!

I hope you enjoyed this look into our cozy winter kitchen & feel inspired to make your kitchen feel cozy! I shared a few more sources for items in our kitchen below, you can click the photo to shop. Thank you so much for stopping by the blog today & every day it means the world to me. Xx Liz Marie

After all my years on internet and Pinterest, your kitchen is still my dream kitchen. I love everything in it and the shelving and island ❤️

As always, so so beautiful! Definitely inspiring!
Oh, I do have a question though. I’ve been trying not to ask, but the suspense is killing me! Lol. I know you’ve mentioned you’re going to be repainting your floors again soon. You probably don’t want to give away the paint color yet, but will they be the same color or will you be doing something completely different?
Thank you so much, that truly means the world to me! I think the kitchen might be my favorite spot in our home!
Thank you so much for supporting our family! It is the Jan/Feb issue of Country Living magazine!
We haven’t made a final decision yet! I will keep you guys updated as soon as we decide!
Thank you so much!! I love the way our kitchen is looking right now.
Thank you!
I find your kitchen beautiful. I was wondering what the large glass bottle is called on your island. Does it have a hole in the top and the bottom? It is gorgeous. I would love to look for one for my own home but alas I don’t know what it is called. Your journey in this life is a remarkable one. The Lord has truly blessed your little family.
Beautiful as always! What time of day do you shoot? The natural light in your kitchen is amazing!
Love the cutting board/book holder on your counter, do you have a source for that? Thank you
I love the overall comfort of your rooms. Your style is what I’ve always tried to achieve with minimal success. You inspire me.
Hi Liz, quick question are you repainting the floors because that paint didn’t hold up? We are in the process of deciding what to use on our floors. I always love what you do so we were just gonna go ahead and do what u did! But now u r redoing so I’m getting nervous!!! Please share 🙂 thanks you’re such an inspiration!!!
Omg Liz…you inspire me to want to buy a farmhouse! Your home is fabulous! I would love to see a post on all of the before and after pictures of each room you’ve done in your home, everyone loves a good before and after!
Xo
Hi Liz,
Can I ask where you got the white on white, nubby/polka dot canisters from? I love your style. I’ve noticed a lot of polka dots in your decor, and I find them to be the cheeriest things ever.
I think it has held up great! We wanted ours to get worn in with scratches and real life marks. I think it still looks great, I just felt like trying something new!
It is from Hobby Lobby, in stores only!
That’s a great idea, I don’t have before photos of every room but I can try to put something together!!
It is an antique find!
It is a cloche jar, it only has a hole in the bottom!
It changes every day based on when we have good lighting, it’s hard to predict in the winter months in Michigan!
I love your style and it’s just beautiful! I also love and have your book, it is amazing! Love your family I visit your blog everyday day for new tips and inspiration! Thank you, Liz!
Hi!
Could you source the white shelves?
Your kitchen is beautiful!
Thanks!

On Instagram, you mentioned you are going to the show in Atlanta this week and will be having a book signing.. I am going for the first time!! ! I got your book for Christmas and would love to come to the signing of I can arrange it. When is it?? Thank you
Hi Liz! Your kitchen is cozy and gorgeous! I bought several of your presets and was wondering which ones you used for these photos or which ones you mostly use. Thank you! @lambertcottage
I have have been subscribed to your blog from the very beginning because I loved your style. Today, I’m not happy with this blog. You put products on your blog that actually got terrible reviews. Also,I read many that spoke about the smeg co. customer service, and how it was terrible, but yet you “advertise ” the product. You really should read the reviews first. Sure,it looks nice, but from what I’ve read, for the money, NOT WORTH IT.
I would love to know where you got your cabinet hardware. I’ve been trying to convince my husband we need to put some on.
I love the different textures you use. The knobby canisters are too cute! Where did you find them?
Thanks, Sheila
I have loved your style since I found your Farmhouse Charm book several years ago! You are my favorite style blogger! I would love to buy your kitchen cabinet hardware but my search has come up empty. The source you listed previously doesn’t have them. Can you suggest another place to check? Thank you!
All of our cabinet hardware is from my store The Found Cottage! I don’t know of anywhere else that has it, sorry!
They are from Hobby Lobby, in store only!
The cabinet hardware is from my store, The Found Cottage!
I love my smeg appliances and use them daily, I wouldn’t recommend them if I didn’t love them!
They are a DIY coming to the blog soon!
Liz I absolutely love your style! You are such a huge inspiration to me as we are building our house. Thank you for being you and showing us your life. I have a question about your flower pots on your kitchen counter. Where did you purchase them? Also the French looking pots/cups that you have on your shelf’s holding utinsils. Thank you so much
Oh and your mixing bowls with the matching spoons. Love everything lol
Liz,
When I look at my kitchen saves on pinterest I find it’s mostly YOU!!!! Thank you for sharing your journey through life and decorating! I see you’re going to share DIY on the shelves…what about those adorable wooden bookends??
Today I noticed your bookends…did you use left over counter top material? I ♡ them! As I ♡ most Everything you come up with !!
Be Blessed ♡
Love your kitchen!!! And how nice the light is from your windows!!!
Liz Marie,
Unfortunately I’m on the other side of the US from you. Does the store ship products?
I love how the white color blends with the winter. I love the design and concept. Amazing!
Beautiful and lovely evolving space. I enjoyed looking at is and will use many of your ideas in my re-do.
Can you source the range hood please? Just what I’m looking to purchase ot DIY!
Thanks
What a beautiful kitchen!! Could you share where \your pendant lights from? Thanks!
Liz, I just realized that I have missed a lot of your posts! Goodness, your kitchen feels so warm- even being all white! I love a functional pretty kitchen! I have tried to do my own version of this idea. Can you direct me to the post about when you changed the shelving in your kitchen? I’m curious to know why you decided to change them out? I loved the corbels! Seems no mAtter what you do it turns out perfect.
Can you please source the white scalloped flower pots? Love everything
I love all of your inspiring ideas! Your home is so inviting and cozy❤️ I was wondering if I missed the link for the light fixtures in your kitchen? They would be perfect for my home also! Thanks so much for all you share with us.
They are from Schoolhouse!
It’s from a local greenhouse!
Thank you! Any chance you have a brand name or any info I could use to try and locate to purchase two for my kitchen?
It doesn’t say a brand on it, so sorry!
Can the hardware be purchased from your store? I looked on your website but don’t see it. Im currently remodeling a 100 year old farm house!
It’s not available on the website, I’ve seen similar hardware in Hobby Lobby in-store if you have one of those by you!
I love your kitchen! It’s so open and airy and bright! My kitchen is small and my cabinets are dark but I haven’t found the “get up and go” to change the cabinets. I am so impressed with your whole kitchen!
Your kitchen is STUNNING! Is it okay to accessorize with copper if you have a chrome or nickel faucet? Thanks! Tracey
Liz, your kitchen is perfect. I see so many things that you do and it all amazes me! I wonder how far it is from coastal Alabama to your store in Michigan. A spring trip???? I want an island like yours, a dining table like yours, pillows like yours, heck…I want it all. And the icing on the cake…that sweet little one! Cope is like a shining star in every picture you post. You and Jose (he’s not bad either!) are truly blessed! Have a great day and see you in MI!
Your winter kitchen is absolutely stunning! Do you mind sharing about your open shelving with hooks? We’re looking to put something very similar in our kitchen, but I can’t find anything quite like these! Did you make them yourselves?
Gorgeous! Did you paint your hood? I really want to paint mine white.
I just love your kitchen island…the wood tones with all the white is always my favorite.
Or maybe she just keeps a beautiful tidy kitchen. I’m sure you’d clean your kitchen impeccably if you were taking picture for your blog too! 🙂
Hi Liz! I’m looking for the perfect rug and love the cream colored braided rug you have under your dining room table. I found it from Rugs USA but some of the reviews said it wasn’t holding up very well. Are you happy with it? Thanks!!
