Hi friends! We are just coming off a fun weekend & I wanted to show you an update in my process of making over the library. It’s a simple one so I thought it would be a great way to start out our week. Simple is good. This library is really a sitting room & a hallway. If you remember our updates [HERE] this space has been in transition for a while, but it’s finally becoming a space we love & that works perfectly for our home. We put in this round table from our shop & the chairs from [see room sources HERE]. I knew I wanted a round rug in here, but I wanted to add a little spice per say. Round is great, but I wanted a bit more texture so I searched for a scalloped rug & found the perfect scalloped jute rug for the space!
I got this rug in a couple weeks ago from Etsy [HERE] & the quality is great. I will say I thought it was going to be a bit lighter in color from the photos, but I’m pleased with the jute & really happy with how it looks in the space. I got the 6ft rug size for this space so it was easy to walk around as this room is used as a hallway. All the chairs fit comfortable on it & it works really well in this space.
I love the cozy cottage vibe that scallops give to a room so this rug is perfect for our cozy cottage farmhouse! I would love to add more scallops in subtle ways throughout our home as we re-do it.
