This past weekend was one of those weekends where we were so productive with projects we wanted to get done around the house! I was working up in the office doing a little cleaning and rearranging when I got the idea to play around with different chairs in the sunroom. I wanted to try some white chairs around the table in the sunroom, but the table was also white & I wanted more of a contrast, so that led me to wanting to paint the table a different color. See how that just snowballed? That’s usually how it goes for me, but I love how this little table makeover turned out..
I found this dining table unfinished from [HERE] & originally painted it Raw Silk from Fusion Mineral Paint. Raw silk is the perfect warm white paint, but of course I was looking for a different color here. I ended up painting the table with one of my favorite paint colors ever, fusion mineral putty, & it turned out so good! I love the simple & subtle contrast it gave the table. The funniest part? I ended up not switching the chairs & keeping the chairs that I got a local antique shop a while back here. I love the color paired with the wood on the chairs!
Another fun update I made to the table? I added wheels on the legs. If you read my first book, Cozy White Cottage, you know that one of my tips is adding wheels to pieces to customize furniture and make it cozier for your home. I added [These] wheels from amazon to the table which was super simple to drill them into the legs. These wheels are great because they lock & they also add a charming detail & a little height.

& after…
Such a simple but effective makeover & I love how much charm this newly painted dining table gives to this space. I hope this mini makeover inspires you in some way. If you use it or inspiration on your own furniture piece, let me know! xx
