The entryway is more than just a way to enter a home. It’s the first thing your guests see when they enter and the last thing they see on the way out. It should be not only appealing to the eye but also practical both for us and for our guests. And of course..it must be cozy. For us that live in Michigan, we’re often dealing with snow. So the entryway must also serve as a spot to bundle up to go out or enter from the cold with layers of winter gear on. Today I wanted to share a Cozy Christmas Ski Lodge-themed entryway.

This is actually not the first time that I’ve created a Ski Lodge in this area! A couple of years ago I create this ski lodge under the stairs look here [HERE], but I liked the idea of updating it for this year. This year’s Cozy Christmas Ski Lodge Entryway is full of reds, greenery, and some texture-full antiques. It’s so festive and fun and I love all of the Christmas reds. I even added quite a few antiques.

During the winter season (and every season really) I like to look for season-specific antiques to work into our decor. Antiques that I like to use during the wintertime include skis, metal and wooden toboggans, and quilts. For this cozy Christmas ski lodge entryway, I used one of my favorite apothecary cabinets along with some skis, wicker baskets, and antique Santas. I always like to add a functional item to sit on too because it is an entryway, after all, and I love to offer a place for guests to sit and take the shoes off.
