The day is FINALLY here! My second book a part of the Cozy White Cottage Series, Cozy White Cottage Seasons is officially out for all to read and enjoy! It has been a long time coming and I wanted to take this time to reflect on the very long journey that we took to get here.
I started writing this second book back in January 2020. It was originally going to be full of larger-scale projects that readers could do through each season. Then the world was flipped upside down and so was my heart for first idea of the book. I thought writing a cozy design book wasn’t what people needed at the time. I was then reminded that everyone was spending more time at home than they ever have before. So I changed directions and instead of writing about large-scale projects, started writing about gathering, goals, and creating cozy moments through each season. That’s when the bones of Cozy White Cottage Seasons started coming together. As we were going through each season of the year and life, I wanted to connect my passion and experience of those seasons to share with all of you. While this is a book about Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter, it’s also about the seasons of life that we go through as well.
During the planning phases of the book, we thought the most challenging part of authoring my second design book. Once finished with the book, we were met with a whole different type of challenge. Printing delays were getting longer every day and we weren’t too sure when, where, or how my book was going to get printed. We had an initial date of September 28th for my book to be released, but due to some printing issues and delays, that was sadly pushed back a couple of dates. It made me really sad at first that the book was getting delayed so much. The initial release date was also coincidently Jose and I’s wedding anniversary, so I thought it was super special that this book would be released on that date. But God had other plans and for some reason, the book was not meant to be released on September 28th. The printing process had a few other hiccups that were pretty large, but now that the book is out we are just so thankful. I truly hope the words in the book speak to those that need to hear them & I’m so glad that my cozy tips are finally printed in book form.
I want to thank all of you so much for coming on this journey with me as I wrote this second book. Writing a book can be full of long, tiresome hours, most of which I have to keep a secret until it’s finished. I hate keeping secrets like this but know it’s so worth it in the end. The preorder for this book was more than I could have ever expected and even through all of the delays and struggles you all stayed so excited and patiently waited, excited regardless of the release date.
I am so excited that Cozy White Cottage Seasons is out TODAY wherever books are sold! As you all are receiving your copies this week, I would love to see Cozy White Cottage Seasons in your cozy spaces! Please share your photos and thoughts on Facebook or Instagram. And if you love the book, please leave a review! This ensures that the gift of cozy keeps spreading and spreading. Thanks for taking this journey with me and visiting the blog every day. Stay cozy, friends!
