It’s the time for slowing down, bundling up, and snuggling in. This past weekend we received our first dusting of snow for the season which made Jose and I ready to welcome all things winter into our home. With the holidays coming up, Christmas Decor can oftentimes claim the spotlight of decor. There are so many opportunities for making our homes cozy with warmth. If you have a few spaces you want to decorate but are scared of the daunting task of taking it down after Christmas, let me show you a way you can decorate before, during, and after Christmas while having a seasonal and festive look with Winter Greens and Foliage.

When Choosing Winter Greenery, choose from wreaths, boughs, sprigs, garlands, and swags of pine, cedar, spruce, eucalyptus, or magnolia. While Faux greenery makes decorating effortless, consider using fresh foliage as well. The scent makes it worth it. I like using a combination of both real and faux in our decor to add different shades of green and textures.

I like to arrange pinecones in bowls and baskets, tuck them into the greenery, or even painted white. While this is mainly a winter greens mantel, I also like to use some elements of Christmas all season long like bells and bowls of ornaments. For a coordinated look keep colors neutral with just hints of green, brown, and gold.
