We are in the middle of freshening up our home this winter & although it’s going to look different than any other year prior, there will still be common themes in the freshening like painting , cleaning, & bringing life back to our home after a year of it serving us. I talked on my Instagram about how we will be emptying our house out in the next month to prep our home for some big projects coming up in 2022, but another thing I’ll be doing along the way is painting a few spaces that need to be freshened up & one of those spaces is the back living room. The walls, floors, ceilings, & doors have really only ever been primed so things are dinged up & uneven including these two doors in the space that lead to our storage room & to our future main bedroom…

Testing some colors along the way:

The doors after a few coats of paint:

I used Fusion Mineral paint in the color putty [You can find this color & others HERE] That was of course after trying a bunch of different colors which I loved, but I always go back to this classic color that I love so much. It’s the perfect neutral mushroom taupe that seems to go with everything that I have. If you are looking for one of my favorite paint colors that isn’t white, this is it!

Up next I want to paint the walls in here, paint the floors, paint all the trim, find new hardware, hang some art, & possibly paint the ceiling as well. Stay tuned for all those projects & be sure to catch me in stories daily as I share the progress in this space. I will be back with more winter refresh cleaning & projects. I hope this inspires you to freshen something in your home! Thank you for stopping by the blog today & every single day to see what we are up to! xx
