Mother’s Day can be a really triggering and difficult time. Just a couple of years ago it was for me. I dreamt and prayed to be a mom for so long; countless miscarriages and angel babies left me feeling really heartbroken each year at the beginning of May. Now, Mother’s day looks a lot different than it used once did. Being called momma is one of my greatest gifts, and Mother’s Day has become one of my favorite holidays. As mother’s day is just a couple of weeks away, I wanted to offer a Loving Mother’s Day Gift Guide and a cozy tip.

Cozy Tip!
In my book, Cozy White Cottage Seasons, Cozy Tip Number 22 shares a cozy tip for Mother’s Day Celebrations. Because Spring is such a great time of year in Michigan, I love to turn this holiday into a garden-inspired day. The key here is flowers. Create simple centerpieces or mini bouquets with fresh or faux stems. Garnish dishes, beverages, and desserts with flower petals or herbs, or with fresh berries and citrus. You can invite the whole family to celebrate the special ladies in your life or make it a “ladies only” gathering. Either way, focusing on the people we love and the gift of motherhood is what makes it most worth celebrating.

The journey to motherhood looks different for everyone. One thing we all have in common is that however you get there it takes strength, love, and endurance that only mommas have. So to all of the moms out there, you are strong, you are needed, and you are loved! If you are grieving about the thought of mother’s day, I share some of my thoughts here [HERE].
