Welcome to our new series!! This is a series that we will be sharing on our socials & here on the blog. What is the series? Well, let’s rewind a second. One of our most frequently asked questions is about paint colors on furniture pieces around our farm. The problem? Most of the pieces are antique pieces that we didn’t paint. So this series will be us color matching the pieces around our farm & creating custom colors, finding similar paint colors, & trying to bring you the BEST antique paint colors to use in your cozy cottage farmhouse. Let’s start the series off in our laundry room…
This antique cabinet in our laundry room is kind of the star of the show & so many people wondered the paint color & where they could buy one when we did our laundry room refresh the other day. Well, since we bought it like this.. let’s find a close color match for you & a color family that will help you get the same or similar vibe in our home…
We brought a door to our local paint shop to get a custom color created & a color match to an existing paint color as well. Since it has such beautiful patina & wear, we decided to color match a part of the cabinet that had the most common paint color on it.
These are the custom colors we came up with for you to bring this cozy color into your home:
Custom Color Code
**Important Disclaimer**
If you are looking for the exact color match please ready before running to the nearest Benjamin Moore Paint Retailer and this is a great code to get very close but slight variations can be expected.
The color code provided below comes from a 1/2 pint sample of Benjamin More Base 2 (200 2x) in Eggshell sheen. If eggshell is desired, the Benjamin Moore paint profession should be able to scale up the code provided. If a different sheen is required, I recommend making the sample as is, and have it color matched in the different sheen from an eggshell sample.
Benjamin Moore Retailers can be found at Ace Hardware (Nationwide), RepcoLite if you live in the West Michigan area.
Here are some similar colors you can also use to get the same vibe with different shades
