Mother’s Day weekend-ish photo dump. Oh what a blessing to be called mama. I dreamed of the day I could be a mom earthside. Every month of negative pregnancy tests, every exciting pregnancy ending in the loss of a life & us here left devastated & wondering what God’s purpose for us was. Our desire was to parent. To raise a child here on our farm, to show them this wonderful world God created, to nurture their talents, & cheer them on in life as they grew. That was our wish. Little did we know, our dream of adopting our third child earthside when we thought we were in control, turned into us adopting our first child & oh my God is faithful friends. I couldn’t have dreamed of a better way to become a mama. To literally be chosen by a beautiful woman pregnant with a beautiful life inside of her to parent that tiny human. What an honor to be given that life to care for & there isn’t a day I take it for granted. I know what loss is, I know that desire to become a mama year after year, & now I have the gift of being called mama. & to say I’m humbled daily by It all would be an understatement. I’m flawed, I’m unworthy, & I have no idea what I’m doing, but I’m loving every second of motherhood & I would never ever trade it for the world. In fact, I pray that one day I’m chosen again to be called mama by another tiny human.. one day. & I know when that day comes it will be His perfect timing again.
