Spent some time this week making our bedroom cozy for summer. We were supposed to be in our new bedroom already last summer, but plans changed & so as usually we are making it cozy in the in-between because that’s what we do best! That’s it. Don’t wait. Life is too short & it’s my belief that at every stage our homes can nurture us & our families. Cozy means something different to everyone, but sometimes I feel like we wait until our homes are perfect clean to light the candles, we wait for our homes renovations to be done to decorate, & we wait for the perfect budget to just start making our home our haven. Start somewhere. Start small. Do a little bit at a time & it will grow to your perfect version of cozy eventually. We have lived in our home 7 years & we are finally starting the “big renovations” as we finally know how we want this house to function for us, but the past seven years we were collecting antiques as we go, trying new pieces & swapping as we go, making temporary changes, decorating, lighting the candles, & curating our cozy. We are all so different, have different goals, & have different priorities when it comes to our homes, but we all want them to be cozy. Don’t wait to do that friends, you won’t regret it.
