I needed this pep talk this week so I thought I would leave this here for someone who needed it as well. It’s ok to change your mind. It’s ok to need to take a break. It’s ok to not know what you are doing all of the time. It’s ok to not know where you are going. It’s ok to sit in a season in your life and not have all the answers, not know what the next step is, & to dream about what your future holds. Scrolling through social media can make you feel like everyone has all the answers, everyone has all the money, & that everyone has all the time. They don’t. In fact, they have so little time that they can’t show you the struggles most days much less the good stuff. That’s me. I’m in a season of waiting, dreaming, planning, & enjoying. Waiting for what’s next, dreaming of big changes, planning on what actions to take, & all the while enjoying these days with my little family. Social media is amazing because it’s filled with inspiration, people who share the same passions as you, & a place you can share your passions with others. But you need to be in the right mind set. You need to know that everyone has a pile of laundry that needs to be folded, everyone goes through big changes, everyone has problems, everyone’s house gets messy, & everyone has bad days. When you know this to your core, your scroll will be filled with more inspiration & less comparison. Not everyone wants to air their dirty laundry all of the time & honestly that would probably be discouraging too if that’s all our scroll was filled with. I like to share a bit of both. Our home, our farm, our projects, our finds, & bits of our life as we go. With 11 miscarriages, years of infertility, military life, loss of loved ones, & more that have gone on behind the scenes since my time on here, It’s not always easy to share here when the seasons are uncertain, but one thing I am certain of… I’m so thankful to have a place here, my blog, & other socials to share my passions with this community. I just hope you know their is a real [imperfect] person behind this account that hopes any time you visit here you leave more inspired, happy, or motivated. Right before a rainstorm rolled in ⛈🪴🤍 My @david_austin_roses are really taking off here on the farm especially here on the tiny greenhouse. Don’t be fooled I strategically cropped this photo as I took it with my phone this afternoon to block out the construction & mess.. more of that later this week. Jose has been hard at work building new animal shelters, a new garden, & even a brick wall of my dreams 🙌🏼🪴🤍 But remember: behind every photo I share is a big fat real life mess. *swipe to see the happiest face alive* I once thought when I became a mom that I would give up all my hobbies, jobs, & entrepreneurial dreams. Turns out, I still have all those things & get to share it with a happy little human by my side. Are walls half painted [look closely] YES! Am I tired? YES! Do I get as much done as I did before? NO! Would I have it any other way? ALSO NO! I hope in my little shares I can show that you can have many dreams & they can all come true with hard work, patience, & perseverance even when the dreams you have seem like they couldn’t all come true together, they can. Just know it’s not always pretty, you will struggle, you might cry sometimes, and your hair won’t get washed as much.. but it is possible. I hope I can always be proof of that. Love y’all… & Ps. You don’t need multiple dreams. Having one dream is perfectly normal & it can come true! I tend to speak from my own point of view & my brain never stops.
