We have officially lived in this farmhouse for 5 years now. Can you believe that? We have a LONG way to go to make it completely ours, but we have done many big projects to make it more of the 1800’s farmhouse we wanted from the 1980’s farmhouse we moved into. The house had been renovated to make it look more modern and our goal has been to bring it back to its prime when horses traveled the street in front of it. One major project we did? We replaced the old aluminum siding that had been falling off the house with LP® SmartSide® ExpertFinish® Trim & Siding from @lpbuildingsolutions.

Not only does the texture, size, and application make it look more historic, but it also has made our home more durable and safer from different elements - making it more than a worthwhile investment. “I’m going to make everything around me beautiful – that will be my life.” – E.DW || 🪴🌱 Someone asked me why I put a pretty sofa in the greenhouse today & it got me thinking. It was a valid question & my answer is: because it brings me joy. Life is too short to not try new things, think outside the box, be creative, and make your spaces cozy and beautiful for you. We all know I’ve never let stains or possible dirt hold me back before & I’m not going to start now. I don’t decorate my spaces for others to love, it’s for us to love, but I do love sharing our spaces in hopes that it inspires others or just to give a glimpse of how we live here on @whitecottagefarm & I do hope you enjoy the glimpses! Visited a happy spot in the middle of our hectic day for a little peace and a little joy. I’ll never forget the day we came here a little over two years ago when Cope was officially a Galvan. I’ll never forget that surreal moment & peace that washed over me while walking through this greenhouse as I held my baby. Now every time I come here that same peace and thankfulness washes over me. Becoming a momma wasn’t easy for me, but being a momma to this little one is always easy.. even on the hard days. Does that make sense? It does inside my momma brain tonight with all of my thoughts! Where is one place you wander that brings you peace? The beach? A store? A market? Stay tuned tomorrow to see what I came home with & see my stories for more on these plants. #copelandbeau

Right before our whole week got flipped upside down… 🪴🌱👶🏼 The good news? This little man has kept his food down finally today & things are looking up! I shared more in my stories, but mostly this has shown me that I’m so thankful for the opportunity to get to make hard decisions as a momma & I choose this little man every single time. Thankful to be called momma, thankful for this little guy, and thankful for our health! Not taking any of it for granted. Let’s end the week with gratitude.
