This week I worked on a couple of very bright pieces
of furniture, but there was one piece that I refinished this week
that was more neutral & my happens to be my favorite color…
I found this table & it was actually in pretty good condition…
Steps I took to paint this lovely little table:
– a very light amount of sanding
-primed the entire piece
-Painted two coats of grey satin paint {Valspar Filtered Shade}
-lightly sanded for distressing
-Stained the piece for more distressing
The hardware I added is a traditional piece in
oil rubbed bronze.
I absolutely love the cutout on the side of this piece
& think the color and stained finish help enhance
all of the details.
I chose not to heavily distress this piece so it wouldn’t
take away from all of the details of the piece.
How would you use this piece? As an end table?
As a nightstand? Let me know on the facebook page…
I know I am going to get questions about this rug, because I
always do.. It’s from TJ Maxx & I love it.
I used an almost black stain to antique this piece & I love
the results it gave me on the gray.
I hope you liked seeing one of my pieces I refinished
this week. I can’t wait to show you two other
pieces I worked on this week which are much more
vibrant then this antique gray piece.
