Antique Plant Stand

I’m not a plant person. I mean, gardening in general, besides
my little spice garden or the occasional tomato and pepper
plant, it’s just not my thing.
Maybe if I actually tried it I would be good at keeping plants
alive, but the thought of digging in dirt in the heat doesn’t
appeal to me. At all.
I recently re-did this plant stand that was from a very
special family members of mine.
So I thought this is the perfect time to get a plant &
start flexing my green thumb… errrr, lack there of?

Speaking of green thumb. I re-did this lovely plant
stand in Antibes Green by Annie Sloan.
I posted the before picture on Instagram a while back.

Before this plant stand was very lifeless & was
probably going to get thrown away.

I’m in love with the little plant stand.
& my plant is still living!! Even after leaving
it on it’s own for two weeks.. crazy!

To achieve the antiqued look I used Annie sloan’s
Dark wax all over the stand. It toned down the
green & gave it the perfect finished look.

 So far now this little plant stand is sitting in my
living room bringing me joy each day.
Maybe I could become a ‘plant lady’
or a gardener.. who knows. Stay tuned!
