We are so excited to be able to host friends and family this summer season! I’m ready to spend all of our time outside enjoying the beautiful weather and spaces around the farm. However, now that we have a busy toddler, this can get a little messy…ok really messy. I don’t know if anyone else has a toddler that plays hide and seek under the cushions, but after you find him under one he pushes it to the ground and moves to the next one? Needless to say, outdoor time is full of a playing toddler and routinely muddy farm dog, that is why we chose to go with a Sunbrella fabric on our patio this year.

What is Sunbrella?
Sunbrella believes in worry-free fabrics that last season after season. The fabrics are easy to care for and durable. From ice cream spills to animal footprints, Sunbrella fabrics can withstand it all. They offer a range of comfortable fabrics to bring your outdoor vision to life, and there are so many great options on Wayfair to choose from. We love they offered the neutral color that we choose, because it fits our esthetic perfectly. And we also don’t have to worry about keeping it clean because Sunbrella fabrics are so easy to clean and maintain, its shook me with how easy it was my first cleaning. We have already had to clean up a few toddler handprints and of course the always near dog print. A wet paper towel and a very light swipe and it was guest ready again! I honestly thought before this set that every “outdoor fabric” was the same. I was wrong! This set is so durable & has already proven to be the best choice on our farm.

We have had these lovely collection of plants for a few months and they have been doing great. They already saw some night frosts and low 90’s. We did bring them in on the cool-cool nights, but they are still looking like we just bought them from the store. The Boxwood Topiaries are from Costco, yes Costco has some really great options for statement plants like those. The rest of these plants are from JW Greenhouse located in West Michigan. The big statement plants we have potted are Lilacs, Black Eyed Susans, Petunias, and Dahlias.

How do you decide what type of furniture and fabric you are going to use in your outdoor spaces? I’d love to hear on Facebook or Instagram. Thanks for stopping by the blog today and every day!
