For me, making one design decision seems to lead to hundreds of other ideas to follow. We have been making a lot of renovation plans for White Cottage Farm and one idea that I’ve been playing around with happens to do with our stairwell. I won’t say much right now, but I will say that I’ve been looking at a lot of different stair photos for inspiration! I thought I would share some of those photos today as a part of my scroll stoppers!
If this is your first time checking out a scroll stopper’s blog post of mine, you may be wondering what a scroll stopper is. Each week, I share a set of images that I have been inspired by and have stopped me mid-scroll in hopes that they also inspire you in some way. If you would like to see past week’s scroll stoppers, click here [HERE]. For now, let’s check out some stairwell scroll stoppers.
1.
Not only are these large hydrangea stems so striking (and I’m looking forward to cutting a few down of my own this summer) the staircase peeking out behind the arrangement is also so pretty and a design element that I am taking in! The photo, shared by @gadabout is so inspiring and I love her use of space to make things feel so cozy.

2.
These wooden stairs shared by @milieumag look straight out of a fairytale! I love the wood and white mixture that we see in this space and I’m especially drawn to the wall treatments leading up the stairwell.

3.
This curved stairwell shared by @jamb_london seems to have no landing and continuously curves! For me,the width of a stair doesn’t matter when making it comes to a cozy stairwell.

4.
I love it when the design details of a space are so carefully thought out. You can definitely tell that this space, shared by @m_m_interior_design. The sconces match the wallpaper and the ceiling pendant also has a nautical feel! Definitely giving me coastal vibes!

5.
This grand curved staircase designed by @brigetteromanek is truly a scroll stopper! The bench on the landing is such a nice touch and I love how white and bright the space is while also welcoming different colors and textures to compliment.

What is your favorite type of staircase? Is it one that is small and cozy or grand and statement-making? I would love to hear on Facebook or Instagram. Thanks for stopping by the blog today and every day!
