The coziest outdoor dining experiences are the ones you create yourself and share with those you love. I am a big advocate of bringing the outdoors in, and the indoors out. What I mean by that is…I like to repurpose our indoor decor and bring it outside to use and enjoy, and vice versa. The majority of the time when we dine outdoors in the summertime, we typically do so by grabbing our picnic market bag; a bag full of easy picnic essentials like a blanket, melamine dishes, and silverware. Other times, when gathering with family and friends, I like to get creative and style a table full of beautiful linens and greenery. Whether you bring your dining table outdoors, use your outdoor patio furniture, or even DIY a low table with planks balanced on bricks or blocks of wood, creating an outdoor dining experience can be as complex as simple as you see fit. When time allows for a little extra effort, I love the contrast of crystal and china paired with the rustic hues of nature. Bringing your table linens from indoors and using them on your table outdoors not only saves on waste, they are easy to throw into a market bag when the day is done and throw in with the rest of your laundry. Creating an al fresco dining experience will fill you and your loved ones with cozy summertime memories.
