Market hangover is a real thing… at least for me. I cannot stop smiling and reminiscing on the memories that were made last week at our annual Found Cottage Mercantile Market. It is truly sad how fast that actual market comes and goes. We start the planning process for the market as early as January, and meet throughout the year. That time is slow… but come the week of the market, its an empty fairground, to the most beautiful fall market, and back to and empty fairgrounds in a blink of an eye. Nonetheless, the market is both energizing and draining, and here we are Friday a full week after market and I am still in recovery mode. Let’s take a peek at the market this past week… (all photos of the market were taken by our lovely friend, Ashley over at Sincerely Ashley [Link])

This was our 5th annual market and it is so fun to see the same faces come out from vendors to customers. Being over the holiday, we have a lot of customers stop us and tell us its their annual girls trip weekend, where they all get together & shop the market and just have fun. That means so much to me and our team, knowing that we are creating this meet-ups among friends that may go years without seeing each other. The Found Cottage Mercantile Market team blew this market out of the water, making some drastic behind the scene changes to make the market go as smooth as possible and offer the best experience to our vendors and customers. If you miss us this year, put it on the calendar, EVERY Labor Day weekend, Friday is the VIP night opening at 3, and Saturday a full day of shopping. If you visited us this year, we try to add more to the experience each year, so please come back, because it only gets better!
Coming out of our market hangover (near coma), this week on the blog was a bit slower than usual. Still on my stripe obsession, the weekly scroll stopper captured 5 Cozy Stripe elements to decor that I think could find it’s place in any style!
There is no shame in jumping on a trendy DIY you see everyone doing on social media. I have been absolutely loving the DIY Terracotta Pumpkin DIY’s everyone has been doing to get that Pottery Barn Terracotta Pumpkin look, so I gave it a try myself and shared how I got the final look we were left with! The thing I love about this DIY is that I can be a great way to find a not so cute pumpkin while picking or a garage sale, and make it fit your style and design.

With the warm season coming to an end, there are a lot of great deals out there for seasonal closeouts. So this is a great time to find some awesome deals to redo your outdoor spaces either for fall for next year. This year we are finally getting to our porch and have big dreams for this space, but before we can do that, repairs are needed and that is where we are at now. We sanded and repaired the porch floor and, in typical Liz fashion, I couldn’t just move stuff out of the way while we were working, I made this cute little vignette. You can see more [here] where we talk about The Budget Friendly Approach to updating your porch.
I shared some cozy outfits from this week & last. If you ever want to know what I’m wearing & loving, all you have to do is check [HERE] to see what I am loving from my home to my closet & beyond if I have a link for it. I try to keep it updated daily to be helpful! I also update my Instagram daily & my Instagram highlights if you are ever looking for an answer. I am a busy momma so I miss a lot of messages & so I hope that is helpful. Be sure to follow my sources on my LTK [HERE] for all the sources.

If you jumped on the Frame TV band wagon like we did… You are loving all the options out there for Fall Decor to be displayed. I gathered up some of my favorite finds, and will definitely cycling through a few this fall! See all links and resources to the artwork on my post 30+ Cozy Fall Samsung Frame TV Art Pieces (link).
You can actually see the art print I am starting with this all in a new Pumpkin Cloche Fall Mantel look I put together right before we left for market last week. There is something about seasonal decor in cloches that just create the perfect little vessel and vignette.

With all of the official indicators that say it’s okay to celebrate fall, I shared a fantastic tip to keep your pumpkins lasting all season long (and then some). It all starts with pumpkins in a sink… and I mean… you need of photo of that right?!?
