As I’m writing this it’s 11 at night & I got the case of the sickies. You may remember me saying I was sick the day before Christmas even on Instagram? Well… it never really went away. I kept feeling like something wasn’t right & I was super nauseous & couldn’t eat a thing, but I figured I was getting better. Nope. A whole lot of nope. The flu hit me so hard today that I am so weak & just laying in bed watching Gilmore Girls on Netflix with the hubs. I guess it’s to the ER for this girl tomorrow. Anyways, I had big dreams for a nice juicy blog post today, but that didn’t really happen because I can barely keep my eyes. I hope you guys had a great weekend & that none of you are sick or get sick this season, because this is the worst sickness I think I have ever had.
In the middle of me being sick & feeling better & then being sick again Mr. LMB & I took down our Christmas decor in our home the day after Christmas. Some may think we are crazy, but after moving into this house & then putting the holiday decor up right away, we never really got the chance to enjoy our house void of a big Christmas tree. We wanted a fresh start here in the house & taking the Christmas decor down is the perfect start. Here is a fun little picture of the Christmas decor in the living room right before we took it down & right after it was all packed up…
Of course when I’m better I will be decorating for winter & blogging about it, but I love how different it makes the room look. We do miss the Christmas season already, this one came and went so fast especially in the middle of our hectic transition, but we really want to officially settle in and settle down. Be sure to follow me on instagram and Facebook for more updates, I hope you all have a great day.
Feel better! I just got over the flu and ended up in the er. Fluids, rest and a few days later I feel human again. Hang in there!
Take Care,
Mandy Jean
Feel better soon! But why the ER for the flu?
I don’t blame you, I would want all the Christmas stuff down so I could enjoy the new house and decorate more. Mine came down today and I am decorating for winter. I too have been sick on and off since Christmas…what is up with one day sick and the next better but still off then again sick? Hope you feel normal again soon!
Haha! I’ve been watching Gilmore Girls on Netflix too (for the first time, actually!). Feel better soon.
Prayers for you to feel better soon!! We just finished all the seasons of Gilmore Girls, great show! I always hate to see a series end, they are like friends and family by the time you are done watching…..lol! I love your room but I covet your cabinet …lol!! It is a great piece! Have a wonderful New Year and feel better!!
My things get packed up right away…. Ready for a clean slate. Love the room! So sorry you are sick. Feel better soon. I see Tamaflu in your future.

So sorry to hear you got sick as well! My kiddos had the flu and then colds and then passed those colds onto me and my husband. Ready for a fresh start, a clean home, and everyone well!
Loving how you’re decorating your new home so far!
I hope you are feeling better by now. The room def looks different without the decorations but still looks wonderfully warm and cozy. I am just like you, once the holidays are done with I am already packing stuff up, I like things nice and tidy.
Feel better and happy new years!

I hope you are feeling better soon! ~Hugs~
Aww hope you feel better soon! The flu is the worst! Take it easy and enjoy some much deserved time off. Don’t even worry about that to-do list. 🙂 Gilmore Girls will definitely be the cure…it’s kind of embarrassing how quickly I finished all of the seasons in November. Haha
I hope you feel better real soon! The ER can’t do anything about a virus (flu) other then pump you with fluids if your dehydrated. Gatorade, sips at a time until you can handle it will help restore the balance in your body (you need those electrolytes). Then after 24 hours of no vomiting/complications at the end of your body, then do the BRAT diet, Bannas, rice, apples, toast. It’s easy on the stomach. Then 24 hours after that you can eat normal! 🙂
I hope you feel better soon! I look forward to your daily posts!
Oh, I feel your pain.
My household,(me, hubby, & 4 young kids) has been sick going on 3 weeks now. I do think we are finally on the mend but the worst 2 days were Christmas Eve & Christmas. It’s been awful.
We live in the PNW so I think your safe from our nasty bug! But I will keep you in my prayers nonetheless.
Like so many others, I love your blog and your style. I always get excited to hear that a blogger I admire also has faith in our wonderful God.

Oh my goodness; I hope you are feeling better very soon. I was reading an article about E.R. departments being on diversion for ambulance’s right now. I don’t know about your town but, here in OH they are
overloaded with sick people, which means your wait will be forever. Perhaps you can call your physician and can be seen there tomorrow. I, by no means know how sick you are and if you feel you need to go to the E.R. then you should. I am not trying to tell you what to do, I am just giving you information that might save you some time. I hope this helps you, you are in my prayers.

Oh my goodness…sounds to me like you contracted 2 different kinds of flu! I am so sorry you have been so sick! I can’t believe you had even an ounce of energy to write this post. Please take very good care of yourself. When I had the flu a little over 2 weeks ago, my doc told me the MOST important thing I could do was rest. Good medicine.

WYSIWYG editors or if you have to manually code with HTML.
