So yesterday I shared on Instagram that we took down our Christmas decor & I asked you guys when you take yours down. Some people were like me & take it down right away, some people keep it up until mid January, & some keep it up until the snow melts. I think it’s so awesome how we are all so different & have different traditions in our homes. I did get a few comments that questioned why I was taking down my Christmas decor so soon & that it didn’t seem right, but I did want to just say that my Christmas decor doesn’t define my celebration of Christmas. Whether we have a Christmas tree up or not doesn’t define my celebration of my saviors birth. I celebrate that daily. So I hope no one is offended by the fact that after Christmas day Jose & I crave simplicity & we enjoy taking the Christmas decor down together. This year was filled with laughs as we threw ornaments at each other, I guess anything with your best friend can be fun right? BUT the biggest question I get after we take the Christmas decor down is “How do I decorate for winter?” Well, I did [This post] last year on the best winter decorating ideas, & I will be doing some winter decor post in our home, & more inspiration posts for winter as well, but today I wanted to go shopping for winter decor together.
Winter to me is all about cozy textures, warmth, lots of texture, woodland touches, & things of that nature… haha get it. You know I love neutrals, but I love adding pops of icy cool colors like blues, & of course pops of black, green, & gray. I did some online shopping tonight for some winter decor at places like World Market, Pottery Barn, Amazon, Target, & more & compiled a winter decor shopping list for inspiration for you. You can click the links below the photo above to shop the items, or you can click on the images below to go directly to the items as well. I hope you guys enjoy all of this winter decor & that you feel inspired to decorate for this winter season! Be sure to find me on Facebook & Instagram & as always… THANK YOU for stopping by my little blog & sharing it with your friends. xx
