I’ve been talking about Grace a lot here on the blog lately & on social media. It’s mostly because she’s such a huge part of our lives now, she depends on us, & she brings so much joy. But from the messages, comments, & things we have been hearing, she brings joy to others as well. It’s weird to think that a little lamb who was abandoned by her mom has changed our lives so much for the better. & that she is bringing joy to others by just being her & has no idea at all. Who knew a little orphan lamb would come into our lives & make it better.
That’s why I had to stop on here today & share with you this video. This video brought me to tears when someone shared it with me on Facebook & can be applied to so many areas of your life. Now, this farm, Apricot Lane Farm, did things a lot differently than we have, but there are so many similarities to Grace & even though we have stepped in more than the video shows, she is still going to be wonderfully independent, more gentle, more kind, more aware, & different than all the rest of the sheep. If you want to fall in love with Grace even more & appreciate her & how strong she is, you need to watch this video…
Such a great message that I think we all need to hear. I hope we have made Grace feel comfort & have brought joy to her life like she has brought to ours. Thank you guys so much for being on this Grace journey with us & if you want to read more about our little lamb you can read some FAQ’s [HERE] & another reason Grace is very special [HERE]. Be sure to follow me on Facebook & Instagram for an overload of Grace photos and videos. Thank you guys for stopping by the blog today! xx
I have been loving your videos of her on Instagram! Such a cutie.
I COULD NOT WATCH THIS!!!! I got thru a 1/4 of it and cried my eyes out!! I am still crying!! We have 10 indoor cats and 2 dogs and my heart absolutely broke for this baby lamb….I imagine it has a great outcome, but, my heart couldnt watch anymore! But, so glad you guys are taking Gracie and loving her to bits!! She has grown so quickly already!!!!
Thank you so much… I enjoy sharing!!! xx
I get it!!! Farm life is a hard life sometimes. You guys are so sweet to love your animals <3
Someone’s cutting onions… holy wow. What a beautiful video and story. I enjoy watching your stories and seeing you all grow together. There should be a little gift at your p.o.box today. I hope you like it ❤
This was so sad to watch…broke my heart!
But…so happy that Grace was able to find a home with you and Jose! I absolutely love watching Grace grow through your videos!
I have a boxer named Simba and he is our baby! We love him so very much!
Such a beautiful message although it breaks my heart that people feel sadness and a connection to this story and then turn their heads to the sick, cruel dairy industry. When a cow gives birth her baby is wheeled away instantly and she cries all night for her baby. They are separated for purposes of milking her to feed our addictions. It’s a sad miserable life that cows live in the dairy industry. If you watch a video of the process of the separation and torture I guarantee you heart will be broken in a million pieces. Thank you for sharing! I love Grace and your blog. I hope everyone keeps a compassionate heart ❤️ as they read my message. Love and light ??
I just watched this video, and in doing so…I have found out something in myself I didn’t realize. No I’m not a lamb/sheep of course, and I wasn’t even orphaned or abandoned, not in the usual sense. I am someone who like the little lamb searches for that which is not physical food or nourishment, but the acceptance and thriving of my life’s purpose and tranquility, and where I fit in. You see your little lamb was placed with you to touch more people in more ways than you could imagine. The video was very moving and the tears are happy ones. God Bless
Liz Marie,
Thanks so much for writing to Apricot Lane Farms and for sharing The Orphan on your wonderful blog. We really enjoyed hearing your heartfelt story and learning about Grace. We look forward to staying in touch!
What a bittersweet and touching story. I watched through tears, not understanding how nature can be both profoundly beautiful and profoundly sad at once. Please give little Grace some extra love from this animal lover in Kentucky. ❤️
Tears are streaming down my face. thank you for this – We have been wanting to get sheep. You have sped up our process. I am now in search of an orphaned lamb to rescue! Seriously this was simply beautiful.
I just left this little video… I can see why you did too! Grace is lucky to have you… I believe you have found each other for a reason ?
Liz I stumbled on to Apricot Lane Farm videos quite a while ago. They are heart warming and I hope you and your readers view them all on their website. I am so envious and wish I was living on a farm surrounded by animals….
