This weekend was gloomy here in Michigan & it was an answer to prayers! We needed rain so badly here on the farm. Our grass was drying up & the garden was looking a little sad. Also, a rainy day allows for naps & a little antiquing so that is what we did. We went to a little local shop close to us & I found some treasures that I thought I would share with you today before we show you what we did with all of them. You know how sometimes when you go out looking for treasures you don’t find anything? Well things were found today..
I scored some awesome black and white photos in some vintage frames that I instantly fell in love with. Call me a weirdo, but I find these black and white portraits of people, horses, farm animals, and houses charming… well, some are creepy, but most are charming! Can’t wait to show you where we hung these.
This was one of my favorite finds this weekend. A street sign that says cottage?! How perfect is this for our home? I snatched it up really quickly. I’ll share more pictures of it very soon.
I found these old crates & I bought them thinking we could use the in our new office area that I’m excited to share with you guys. I needed some good storage pieces & a few antique ones mixed with the new ones is of course my style. I’ll share with you guys what I end up doing with them of course.
Jose picked out something while we were there that was so random to me, but he was really drawn to them. It was this set of clothes pins in an old box. Not sure what we are going to do with them, but they are pretty cute right? I’ll let you know Jose’s plan for them later.
I found this small copper pot that I fell in love with. I’ve been really drawn to copper elements lately & this little guy was just perfect. Not sure quite what I’m going to do with him yet. He would look great with a plant in him or for some cute storage.
I had to have this trophy when I saw it for a few reasons, but the number one reason was that before I left the house this day I wanted to find a trophy like this for a plant for this table it’s on, & I found it.. how lucky is that? I’ll share this whole vignette with you soon!
Last, but not least, I didn’t find this at an antique shop, but I picked up a copy from my local bookstore. It’s Diane Keaton’s design book called “The House That Pinterest Built” & it’s amazing! Every page is filled with so much inspiration & I highly recommend picking it up. I laid it here on my coffee table & found myself sitting and looking through it any chance I could get this weekend. You can find the book [HERE].
I hope you guys had a great weekend & were able to find some treasures if you went out antiquing! Feel free to save this post and share it as a shopping list of things to look for the next time you are out at your local flea market or antique shop. Thank you guys so much for stopping by the blog today and every day to see what we are up to! xx
Love all your finds! What a fun weekend!
Love, love, love and need the Cottage sign. Was that something there was only one of, or did they have a source to order from. The box of clothes pins is also so cute. Enjoy seeing how you put everything together.
Adore your fur babies ??
I love the sneak peek at your entryway – it’s gorgeous with the vintage black and white photos and the silver trophy. Extremely inspiring!
Love all your new treasures! Antiquing is so much fun! I have my mother-in-laws old clothes pins in an old jar on a shelf in my laundry room, a treasure to me!!
Such cute finds Liz! Mind sharing what shop? We’re locals, and always looking for fun shops 🙂 thanks!
Just splendid.
Where did you get your farmhouse dining table? I love it❤️
I really like Jose’s box of clothes pins! They look great just sitting on the shelf!
