Happy Monday my friends! The past three weeks have been super fun starting the week off here on the blog with sharing some antique finds. I LOVE seeing what others are picking up at flea markets & antique shops so I want to share with you guys what I’m picking up these days, how I’m styling this antique haul, & more details. Some weeks it will be a long list of items, some weeks the items will be in a pile in the photo, & some weeks I will share them styled. I have a deep passion for antiquing & all things old & charming from architectural salvage to primitive chippy furniture & everything in between so I hope that these posts help those who are wanting to find more antiques for your homes & inspires those who are already as passionate as me. Here is what I picked up this week…
The Little Chippy Bench
I found a lovely little chippy bench for in our sunroom at our shop from my pal Mustard Seed Beginnings. I’ve been looking for a chippy primitive white bench for some time now so when she brought it in our store, The Found Cottage, I knew I had to have it!
Gold Mirror
I picked up this antique gold mirror this week with every intention of putting it in our bedroom but when I got it home I had to try it in our entryway gallery wall just to try it & I think I might try it here… I’ll be back later with a gallery wall update if I do!
Antique Antlers
I found these odd little antique antlers at our shop & I really thought they were kind of quirky & added a little masculine touch to our new office area… I will share more later as this space is just a construction zone right now. Sometimes I find odd things and fall in love with them… I’m not sure I’m in love with these little antlers, but it was one of those finds that I just had to pick up.
Architectural Salvage
I shared this one last week, but I never showed it in our house… it’s a piece of architectural salvage that I fell in love with & had to have. I knew I wanted to try it above our kitchen sink since there was already hanging hardware up there. Who knows if it will stay here, but I do know that this piece is staying here at White Cottage Farm!
What I’m forever collecting
I’ve started styling the new shelves in our office [read more about those HERE] & I placed a few of my new pieces on here so far. I’m forever collecting old paint brushes & silhouettes & putting them around our house. I love the charm of both of them & the paint brushes are a reminder of the hard work & creativity that is a deep part of our lives. This is just one way I have some of these displayed, but I will share more later.
Military Roots
Since we are a military family I’m really drawn to all things military when I’m out antiquing. I found this sign & had to have it for our new office area. Many of you remember “handsome” the portrait I picked up a while ago because I loved it so, well now he has a name & it’s LT. Col. SF. Stebelton. I love this sign & I love it here by my favorite portrait man.
I hope you guys found some treasures if you went to a flea market or antiquing this weekend!! I also hope this post inspires you in some small way & starts your week off great! Thank you so much for stopping by the blog today & every single day to see what we are up to! Be sure to follow me on Instagram [HERE] for more behind the scenes & treasures I’m finding! xx
That mirror….”swoon”! I think I’m in love! I love to see the way you style your finds! Thanks for sharing!
Love, love, love the architectural piece above your sink. It looks perfect there. But if you’re like me, you probably have a few other places where you think it would also look perfect 🙂
Oh I love reading and seeing your pics of your antiques, junking treasures…..isn’t it fun to collect, to dig through piles, and gather…. I so love the salvage piece above your kitchen sink.
