I have so enjoyed sharing my tips and tricks over on the Balsam Hill blog this season. It’s been fun to show my twist on their products and how we style them in our house. Today I wanted to show you a very simple Christmas tables cape using a garland and a wreath from Balsam Hill & a few tips I have to using faux greenery to get the biggest impact for your buck! Here are a few simple tips that I use….

- Fluff!! Fluff your greenery to get the desired fullness that you desire and the real life effect that you want. Pull the branches out & bend the branches and additives to give it a natural flow and form to your space that you are using it in.
- Add some real! This one isn’t always necessary, but it can be fun to add something real like some branches from your yard, some florals from a bouquet you were given, some fruit from the kitchen, it’s always fun to customize things to make them original to your home & taste.
- Pair it up! Pair your faux garland with other textures. For this tables cape I added some gold wooden candlesticks and some dishes. You could add stockings for different texture from cozy knits to a nice big mirror.
- Do something unexpected! For this simple Christmas table I hung the Balsam Hill wreath from our chandelier. I used some craft wire & hung the wreath upside down from the light. It’s fun to use faux greens in an unexpected way like this & gives it a whole new life!

Honestly this holiday season has been so busy that a simple Christmas table was all I wanted. Sometimes I go a little crazy with decor & sometimes I want to go more simple… this christmas it was simple & I love it. I hope this shows you that you don’t have to go crazy. This was done with just a wreath & two strands of garland. You can see more and read more about this to see what products I used over on the Balsam Hill blog [HERE] Thank you guys for stopping by the blog today & every single day. xx
