Okay guys here with another update on the library!! We got a sofa for the library in the mail & I am so so excited to share this with you all. I shared a few ideas I had for the layout of the room in my Instagram stories & for now we decided we wanted a little bit of a larger sofa in the library! The library is basically a large hallway that connects the front of our house [living room] to the back of our house [kitchen & sunroom]. While we would love to have more seating in the library we need to be able to move through the library without maneuvering around a lot of furniture! There’s still time to change things up in here or add more but for now, I am really happy with this. We also decided to have the sofa facing the windows so that we could sit & enjoy the view of our farm. Out of these windows, we can see our mini orchard & the barn!

We got a new SixPenny sofa, we decided on the Amelia 84″ Sofa in Pacific Pearl. I loved that this sofa had a very slender and minimalist look to it but it didn’t sacrifice comfort to get that. The absolute best part is that all of the slipcovers are removable and can be washed! With a one-year-old and several dogs, this is a must-have with any sofa. I often get asked how we keep our white sofas, chairs, etc. clean but truthfully we let all of our pups and Copey on all of our furniture so my only requirement is that it has washable slipcovers!

If you are in the market for a new sofa I highly recommend checking out SixPenny. We have had a few items from SixPenny in our home & absolutely love each of them! When it comes to sofas I think comfort is just as important as the look & our SixPenny sofas have all been so comfortable. Another feature I really love about SixPenny is that you can choose whether you’d like a feather down sofa or a polyfill sofa. I think it is so important to be able to choose based on what you’d prefer & is incredible that they offer that option! I loved this sofa because it had a long continuous cushion on the seat and on the back which felt more tailored to me and more of a “library seating” option. I’m still waiting on some pillows, but she is already looking so good!!

I hope you enjoy following along on the journey of updating our library! It’s be so fun to try some new & exciting things in this space and see the best ways to use it for our family. I’m sure I’ll be back soon to share another update on this room! Thank you for stopping by the blog today & everyday.
I just love this cozy space and the built-ins. I am so excited for your decor launch too.
Love every thing about this room . You do get a great cozy vibe.
I get that the color isn’t right in this room. Poor José will have to paint again. BM Coventry white. Try a sample. I never see it in your line up. It’s a subtle grey that never turns. You will like!
Oh, and loved loved loved the lambs today!
Do you prefer the down or poly fill? I don’t have access to try either one of them out. Would love to know what you chose.
Are the two pillows from your new line being released with PCB, or from elsewhere? Love them! (But let’s me honest here, I think I obsess over everything of your decorating style.). Since I live in Indiana, I’m hoping to make it up to your shop this summer!
I love the color you painted you shelf’s and the whole look in that room?
I don’t think I’ve ever seen the Library before and it’s magnificent. Love the color on the shelves and how everything is styled. Thanks for sharing. The sofa looks super cozy!
Hi! I thought you said that the “Plant Kindness” basket might be available at your shop but now I cannot rememeber. But I’m looking for something like that for my plants — can you tell me where it is available? Thanks!
